Does anyone really understand how this works on P99? Does it heal the mob over time? Is it really a great agro proc? I can't seem to find anything definitive (and don't have one to figure it out)

the proc is good aggro because of the disease counters of the spell

yes but does it heal the mob with that decreasing (or increasing) heal over time? or is it a damage over time? or does it only do the DD on p99?
afaik after the change, disease and poison counters (any number of them) only count as the max 400 aggro from spell effect portion of aggro.

Disease and poison procs aren't very common on warrior weapons, and the ratio on this weapon is great. The ratio + disease proc should make this weapon better at agro than most. But I am not an expert by any means. I don't own one myself, so I couldn't comment on if it is bugged in terms of the DoT.

Should just be 510 hate (400 for disease counters and 110 for dd)
Why would healing reduce hate. Can't think of any reason for that to be a real mechanic.

I think the issue would more likely be that if it was bugged and healed the target, you wouldn't get the 110 hate from the DD, it would be 0. That might make this weapon worse for agro than other weapons, so it is a valid concern. But the ratio is still great, so it should be nice in groups at least for more DPS than infestation.

I’ve heard, whatever it does or happens, it ends up 7/8 hate gen of epic red blade proc.
Which is pretty good. It’s about 7/9 the hate produced by the best proc in game?

Ok. But wouldn’t that mean when this procs it is also adding 430 hate due to the counters?

Counters and a good ratio is a means to then finding a good hate generating weapon such as the infestation or a chelaki tail

Don’t rely on procs. Get the best possible haste you can. White damage is the most reliable.

This guy is 100% right! In every mmorpg ive played a tank and just your white damage output alone is usually your best reliable threat. So warriors get that ATK up! fk those rogues

blanket advice like that isnt helpful, not part of the discussion point really.
i know white damage makes up more than 1/2 your aggro and maximizing haste to improve it further is key to holding agro. this is a question about a specific weapon and its odd and poorly documented proc. the fact that its an 11/18 weapon already means it has great white damage. already have haste.
the question is really closer to 'is this better than other comparable ratio weapons with a typical spell effect proc of 400 + DD aggro, or is the dot/heal of the mob actually counter productive compared to more easily acquirable weapons'

The heal does not reduce hate, there is no such mechanic related to reducing hate by healing NPCs in this game.
Feverblade is second best threat generation in game behind SoD. That does not make it the best tanking weapon, though, because it lacks good tanking stats.

Im not sure if the devs capping proc aggro to 400 includes capping the dd hate as well or what. Idk if theres a way to reliably test or not otherwise its just what someone thinks.

They have been testing weapons using that high hp turtle in Iceclad.
Found that the lowest delay wep offhand is better agro regardless of proc. And for primary the vp weapon is best (besides sod obviously), because the hate generated is by how many times you swing and not the weapons damage ..
So best setup for agro is currently pox blade primary, krez flame offhand or nev horn (15 delay is why, the proc doesn't do much).
I still use red blade primary/ trident or jaleenas katana offhand and do just fine though /nod.

After overpaying for a fever blade it is all I use now, not even joking, the agro is way better then red blade and to be honest I'm about to bank the red blade...sad but the agro from fever / katana is just so much more reliable

i seem to be holding aggro alright that's interesting feedback though

After testing on dragons and Giants, I'm using red blade offhand mostly instead of katana lol. So I didn't bank it :)

from what i understand of procs and aggro:
white damage aggro generated is equal to the full damage of a swing whether its a hit or a miss. so its not so much that low delay weapons are inherently better, its that low delay weapons can make use of the damage bonus in primary most efficiently. so will sapper should still technically be a better white damage aggro than infestation in the primary due to the superior ratio, even though the delay of the infestation is lower.
what i understand of aggro procs is that they are all capped at 400 for non class spell/abilities + the damage component of the proc (dd+dot). if the spell is resisted then you still get the spell/abilities component aggro (capped at 400), but what is unclear to me is if you still get the dd+dot damage aggro is the spell is resisted. ive heard mixed things (dots act as aggro over time... but then if they are resisted do you get the full amount on resist or none.... still not clear).
so with the exception of a SOD (and maybe BoBDE/Shissar/Trident), i would imagine the red blade would be the best offhand aggro weapon in the game due to its decent ratio sans damage bonus (14/24) + the aggro proc which i assume still counts as the full 600. that said the aggro proc could only count as 400 (spell component cap for non class spell/ability and 0 for the resisted DD component) or 500 (spell component if rage of vallon counts as a warrior spell/ability and 0 for the resisted DD component).
for the mainhand though, it seems like SOD, feverblade, infestation and many others would potentially be better aggro weapons due to the combined white damage and aggro proc. it seems like, for the main hand, the white damage is even more important part of the aggro equation, account for almost 2/3 of the aggro generated for 100% haste even assuming 2 procs per minute. the procs allow you to "jump up" the hate list... but assuming people dont engage until you have a proc or two, the white damage is gonna help you stay 'ahead of pace' moreso than relying on the procs to get you there... that said i could just be full of shit.

Feverblade is hands down the best aggro weapon that still drops in the game. This is true by a considerable margin.
