So annoying this is. It was fixed, i updated my card drivers to the newest cause i havent done it for a while and needed it for another game i play. and now i log back in and they are there again. Id rather not roll back my drivers. Problem is Like invisible lines horizontally down the screen, for example u have a chat window open with text on it and u drag it up and down u can see it cut into the words. Any ideas?

ps only in windowed mode

This is present on the 3 PC's i've played P99 on at 1680x1050 and above, I don't believe there is a remedy.

Yeah I just move my windows slightly so the fuzzy line or whatever is in a less damaging spot. And how many lines do you refer to? I usually only notice 1 in my chat boxes.

You can try messing with your monitor settings, or resolution.

This generally happens (to me at least) when running in windowed mode and the window gets resized slightly from the resolution it's trying to run at.

If you are using WinEQ, it may help to tell it to reset the window. I've noticed that this can still happen on live while using Inner Space to simulate "windowed full screen". I can't recall exactly how I generally go about fixing it as I've not had to deal with the problem for half a year or so now.

I suppose I should try running win eq, it doesnt hapoen at lower resolutions so the window being compressed slightly would make sense

WinEQ is nice to use either way. The version of Everquest used for P99 doesn't allow you to limit the FPS. Leaving it unlimited can cause moving with the mouse to perform terribly. (Too fast in one direction, too slow in the other).

I have options of 1-100 and not unlimited. 30 is most classic and properly working mechanics, so I keep at 40-60. It plays nice up until 100 where the mouse look starts to bog down. Jumping mechanics definitely get screwed up the higher you go, but 30-60 is fine. There are some jumps you can't make at very high FPS like in Cabillis.

Unlimited being, not using WinEQ :D

But yeah, I stick with 30fps as it makes the game feel most "right" for me.

I use 99 fps, i guess i could back it off to 60 since supposedly you cant see anything above 60 anyway.
