Has anyone had any issues with running EQ after upgrading to Windows 11?

I'm scared to. Haven't done it yet.

There's probably only like three people here eligible too.

If it's any consolation, I play just fine on Win11 ARM, in a VM, on a Mac.. lol

I've upgraded last week, played everyday since, so far no problem whatsoever.

No issues here on Windows 11 as well.
Generally Windows 11 is mostly a reskin with some tweaks and I did not encounter any breaking changes for any software so far.

I get memory errors a lot in Windows 11, and the next time I zone it crashes the game (playing using Radeon RX 470 on an i9-10850k CPU at 3.6GHz with 32GB RAM). For now I solved it by dual-booting into Windows 10 when I want to play, and just using Windows 11 for work, etc.

I am getting memory errors also since I upgraded to Windows 11. I can move the error window over to the side and keep playing but game will crash as soon as I click 'ok' or zone or log. I have an AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200 graphic card in my laptop.

Have you all tried to update the video driver? Windows might have loaded a generic driver.

That's the exact same behavior I get. To the person that suggested updating the video driver, I've done that (it's a great suggestion but was the first thing I tried), as well as many other troubleshooting steps.

Ultimately the only thing that worked for me was to dual boot into Windows 10 when I want to play.

Hopefully a future video driver update might fix it, but for now when the workday is over, I swap to Windows 10 to play. (If I play during work, I try to do stuff that doesn't involve a lot of zoning.)

Since we're both on Radeon cards (although not the same one), that's a solid clue.

Out of curiosity, do you play under WinEQ?

What benefits does windows 11 have over 10? I have the update notification just sitting there, but didn't want to risk creating issues when 10 is working just fine.

Honestly I'd recommend holding off. So far I haven't found anything life-changing about it; I was an early adopter because I work in IT and will have clients that have questions, so I just need to know how to support it for when that happens.

Give it time to be more stable before upgrading if you can.

I just like bleeding edge but I also don't want to mess with EQ lol.. Seems the consensus is not much of an issue bout potentially so if you have a radeon which I don't. so that's a plus. Ill keep holding out. I might take a DD of my drive before I do an update so I can roll back when I decide to update.
