Will GMs replace it if you petition?

Greetings. I'm afraid we never reimburse vendored items. You can try to buy it back by buying out the non standard inventory until it shows up in the list.

To clarify - on a vendor in EQ if the vendor has a full rack of items (I don't know the quantity) your item will be burried and unbuyable until some of those other player vendored items are purchased and cleared out to make room for your item to be visible to purchase.

So it might be worth doing if there are a lot of low cost items to buy for cheap. Who knows what the vendor markup will be though!

You signed a contract. It is the vendor’s property now.

What was the item? Maybe someone has one spare they can lend or gift to you?

I've sold a lot of yaks in the sad luclin era when they were worth more to a vendor than a player.

I used to keep an eye out for em in the bazaar for when they were being sold for less than vendor pricing. Good times.

what did you vendor?

Staff of Battle - same exact icon as the 3 cracked staves I vendored at the same time. Got 17p for it :-)

I was in a hurry, someone needed a CR port, my fiance was waiting on me to go eat, and voila, sold it :-)

oof 2hand weapons like that are usually super pricey off the vendor, probably cheaper to get a new one in EC unfortunately

When velious first came out on Blue, I would run around on my bard to vendors in Thurg and Skyshrine and spend hundreds of platinum at off the path vendors to cycle through all their items. I would buy out all the items of low cost so that it cycled through everything in their player supplied inventory. I got a lot of the armor gems doing that, and made really good money for very little work.

If you know the vendor you sold it to (and the vendor is not in a super high traffic area) and the server has not gone down for a patch, it might be worth cycling through all the items on the vendor to see.
