Conteders:
John Brzenk is the undisputed Greatest of All Time. Basically, he dominated multiple weight categories (including super heavy) for multiple decades. Right arm.

Devon Larratt was arguably the overall number 1 in the world from 2008 till around 2012 with BOTH arms. And he has recently been called potentially the Best of All Time with his most recent victory over Michael Todd where he displayed supreme arm wrestling fundamental strength and control by pinning Michael’s Kings Move without straps.

History:
The first time Brzenk ever lost a super match was at the hands of Devon in 2008. 6-0… (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bc9-Y1BNJKk) This marked the beginning of Devon’s claim for world number 1. However, it’s been said that John had some issues with the contest. I even heard John allude to this himself in a recent livestream.

Then John got payback from Devon in 2015 by beating him 2-1 (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_GktDb6PY7o), showing excellent control by denying the slip. I’m this case, it was Devon who had excuses. Having had elbow surgery a couple years prior, he’s said his arm was not at 100%.

Recent Events:
It was literally just a few months ago that John Brzenk decided to emerge from retirement. He’s so far had three super matches (winning all of them) against: Chance Shaw, Dinitru Kachan, and Paul Linn. And has now requested a match with Devon.

Devon less than a year ago was on blood thinners for a clot in his leg. Recovering from that he then bulked up to 292, his highest (he would say “fattest” - his words not mine lol) weight ever to face Michael Todd. Winning 6-0 (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=h-wkYNP6uKo). Since then he slimmed down some for a boxing match with Thor, The Mountain.

Yeah this person may have a point that fights in the hood will be very different. For one, sucker punching is a big thing, winning fights before the other person even realizes they're in a fight. There is a certain distance away where if someone chooses to throw a hook as fast as they can, the human eye cannot detect the punch and send a signal to the brain to move one's head or block before the punch lands. There's not much skill in sucker punching someone, a small measure of smarts to not let someone who's amped up and aggressive get that close

The other thing is that wrestling matters much less because fights in the hood aren't usually going to stay 1v1. It is worth mentioning that wrestling in MMA takes a particular form based around the rules of MMA. For example, one of the best MMA fighters/grapplers of all time, Khabib Nurmagomedov, uses a strat of shoving his opponent to the cage to force them into a sitting position and be able to tie up their legs with his legs so they are unable to stand. Obviously without a cage he would need to alter his tactic. He also protects his head from getting punched while grappling by mashing his head into the opponent's chest, creating awkward angles for punches. The reason this works in MMA is because a 12 to 6 (picture a clock) downward elbow to the back of the neck is an illegal move in MMA (because it can/will paralyze an opponent by damaging their spinal cord near their neck). If this move were legal in MMA, Khabib would again have to adjust his tactics to protect the vulnerable back of his neck from elbows when grappling
