SK epic turn in trouble with self invis trick ?

For some reason, I can't seem to be able to use the classic quest trick to be indifferent to a npc:

- give a npc something,
- use a clicky to turn invis & get indifferent faction,
- hit trade,
- profit

I just tried turning in the Blood of Kyrenna to Marl Kastane on Kerra Island for the SK Epic, but my pre nerf CoS would not work. Which is really weird, because I used the exact same "trick" to get the Decrepit Sheath about 2 weeks ago:

I will try using Cloudy Potions, or ask a guildee to invis me, but this is really annoying... Has there been a ninja nerf that we are not aware of ?

You should be able to do the turn-in using hide. Pretty sure that's how I did it, when receiving Soul Leech and when MQing the part in Qeynos Aqueducts to a guildy. For more on the topic, read below.

Are you clicking from inventory or hotbar? With mouse or keypad?

Have you tried hide (con or /target your character’s name while not wearing see invis to check if it is successful).

I’d use hide. Just con to make sure it didn’t fail.

con -> if indifferent, trade.

con -> if not indifferent, reclick hide on refresh.

I follower Ennewi’s piece of advice and tried to use CoS & Hide. It worked, and I was able to get the Dark Shroud. To improve my faction I also delivered the note to Paineel and back to Kerry Island.
Earlier today, I also joined a group of great people (Tinyheal, Crintin, Lifelord I would like to thank you again for your invaluable help) that was grinding down from Yael Pit up to UT and we ended up spawning & killing the Mummy of Glohnor.

I had to ask someone for an IVU when turning the Dark Shroud to the Ghost of Glohnor though, Hide would not get me to Indifferent.

If you’re gonna do the /con method to check invis success make sure you aren’t FD as that can feed you a false positive (and regardless of invis success cause a failed hand in).

Thanks for the warning, that's the kind of mistake I'd easily do.
Unless I'm mistaken you can't trade with a npc/ merchant while flopping, can you ?

You can cast invisibility with a trade window open, if you were invisible when you opened it.

2. Click HIDE
3. Con <target>, if indifferent proceed to 4.
4. Turn in item
5. Profit.

That’s what happened to me when I did the final Life Leech turn in with Kazzel D`Leryt & his pet to spawn the monstrous zombie… sigh
