I don't get the hype to it...is an amazon game, so if it were awful they have a big enough platform to get the word out.

Been watching the open beta on Twitch...it really seems generic and plain to me. Basically, a kind of hybrid between an action mmo and traditional.

I'll give it a go after beta, but I'm not expecting to get into it for more than a few months. Odd standard I admit, most games are considered successful if you play them for even a few hours. I guess I'm anticipating the moment several months in when we collectively decide to abandon the game and leave months of progress and grinding on the table with nothing to show for it...think about how many beads we could have gotten?

Looks like the devs of new world are working hard at tweaking things while adding content simultaneously. What makes you think they can't improve the pvp in the next two months? Just saw there are now additional pvp modes, zones, weapons and abilities.

I also have gripes as an observer. How about the recycling of npc models like bosses being scaled and reskinned models of regular mobs.

Probably a grind fest designed from the ground up to trickle features per dlc, expac, or w/e with some eventual pay to win schema at max lvl.

It's not the source of the funding that is a problem it is the strategy to delete normal business operators by running at a deficit for like a decade until competition doesn't exist. Bad guys have done similar things all through history so it's not breaking news or anything, but its evil.

probably because it requires very little investment and is rockpapersiscorsx19+ builds I would guess.

They should have a worldpvp option like warmode. Sad all games are scared to make a bad evil game were ppl can PK each other and develop a reputation and infamy.

I don't even remember the 50,000 people I BG'd with in wow.

War mode in BFA was fun for a minute in nazjatar until ppl just started forming pickzones with pvp raids. And before healers were nerfed. Granted druids need to be nerfed like always, but whatever. There were a few nights I ran into this paladin who knew me very well and we clashed and most of the time I turned the tables on them and got them squarely. I know it fustrated them and that was enjoyable because theyw were derps. However the unfortunate nature of instancing and load balancing zones and warmode made it so that eventually i never got to play with this upstanding paladin ever again :(

Little PERSONAL gain to pvp. Especially open world pvp.

No incentive to avoid death, No incentive to kill another player Once level 60.

Little to no reason for the average player to try engaging in open world pvp.

PvP does not feel meaningful and ends up feeling Arcade like (this is a really important one).

Infinite Camp Respawns (HUGE PROBLEM).

Being able to be revived by PVE flagged players and bind to any local camp as a respawn.

it seems like a fun arcade game without too much depth that is easily accessible and will become a passing fad unless they fix the above weaknesses...

just the fact that they allow calls for game functions via escaped html in the chat is staggering incompetence on their part and i have no idea how this could be missed. surely that particular part is easily fixed but it sort of gives you an idea what kind of spaghetti code the entire game foundation is built on.
