View Full Version : Server login issue

Hello all not sure if others have had this problem lately.
I have been trying to log in (9pm EST June 1, 2011) going to the server select screen and I cannot see the list of servers. The select area is completely blank, like the list is not populated. The full UI is still there, just no servers. Does this just means the servers are down, or should I re-dowload the latest v10 patch? Or is this something entirely new to everyone.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've been having it for awhile too. Not sure if it's area related but we've been having some uh.. weather out here.
5 Tornadoes throughout Massachusetts and T-Storms in CT. Storms moving to R.I. next.. might have something to do with it?

Server selection screen issue likely related to Comcast. Just keep logging out and in.
Crashing on zoning, just google WinEQ2, and use that to run the game. Problem should likely be solved.
This is happening to me too and I'm randomly locking up sometimes when I finally do get in. Titanium and Comcast here if that's really what's going on.
Any possible fixes for this?

Now I am getting this, have not had a problem of any significance since starting a couple months ago.
I camped to restart machine (keyboard was lagging, separate issue having nothing to do with P99), and try to get back in, blank server list. Tried several times, then reset modem for the heck of it, no effect.
After several more tries, got stuck at logging into the server... from the login page, let it sit, eventually got a time out. Next try through, I get server select, but when I launch the character select page says my spell file is out of date. Exit, try again, back to blank server select.
Certainly nothing in my setup (router, etc.) listed as possible fixes changed in the 2 minutes between when I camped and tried to login again. Not sure if it really has anything to do with it, but I'm also on Comcast.

I get the blank screen a lot also, but clicking on logout and trying again (and again and again sometimes) gives me the server list eventually.
About the outdated spell list message, I think you need to download this again: http://www.project1999.org/files/eqchangesv10.zip

I chatted Comcast tech support about this issue today. As you might imagine, it was somebody in India, full of platitudes and canned company lines. No help at all. However, I did get it "escalated", if that means anything. We'll see.
It seems to be working for me now, anyone else? Apparently, it wasn't the server fix that fixed it so maybe it was me resetting my modem? I turned it off for about 20 mins. and rebooted so maybe that fixed it, not sure.
Edit:
Nevermind, it's doing it again. :(
Just an FYI, I hooked up my router to see if it did any better and so far not a hitch. If you guys are having this problem, you might give it a try. I seem to be logging in faster too and my ping is lower. Could be something with Comcast, the modem, or both?
*shrug*
Edit:
Scratch that, still crashing. This sucks, WTB a fix for this...
