unable to log in on green

i went to switch characters on the green server and am just stuck. i closed the game and relaunched and i can log in and get to character select and press enter world, but it never goes any farther. its just sitting there.

i have close and reopened and rebooted computer a few times.

i just tried again in full screen mode and it says 'reset device failed' and game crashed

this is happening to every character. game freezes trying to 'enter world' then i eventually end back at the login screen.

i have tried deleting one of my characters 'ui_username_servername.ini' files to see if that helps and results in the same issue.

Many have reported that running the game in Administrator Mode or setting the file eqgame.exe to run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2 has solved (or at least reduced) the problem. To set Compatibility Mode:

Locate the file eqgame.exe in the folder where you stored your Everquest installation files.
Right click and select Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab.
Click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

same thing happens if i try on blue i guess my installation is messed up.. going to try to uninstall and reinstall

game still freezes after a fresh install as soon as i hit enter world
if i let the game sit long enough it takes me back to the login screen.

the server appears to stop responding

oddly enough i am able to log into the red server. i just create a new character and logged in without issue. it appears to be only blue and green that i cannot log into and it just hangs and crashes

i was able to repeat logging into red successfully again. here is the success log
