View Full Version : Alternative to 300 push ups?

Or just even one or two?
I challenge all of the members of this community to complete 300 push ups in 30 days.
We'll be going on the honor system and I'm interested to see how many of you can honestly complete this challenge. There is no reward, just the reward of knowing you're fit enough to do 300 push ups in a month.
Push ups must be done properly keep those backs straight! Bonus credits for 1 handed push ups or hand stand push ups.
I know this challenge will be super easy for some of you. So push yourself and report back on how many push ups you could complete in the 30 days. The idea is not to do all 300 in a day but if you can no problem. The idea is to do push ups everyday for 1 month as a physical test of endurance.
Remember to be honest, don't cheat yourself! Good Luck
June 30th, 2021 is the cut off date.
This is not a Rants and Flames thread.
Just did one pushup. Felt great. Dizzy and out of breath though.
Please stay on topic. . .
Don't feel compelled to respond to off topic replies.
Please stay on topic you degenerates.
And do 300 push ups during the month of June.
Seriously, fapping your fingers on the keyboard does NOT count.
Sorry
wrong thread, please cut the shit.
If you can't do push-ups just don't post.
I'm really sorry.
I'm kinda concerned about doing another felt some chest pain and extreme dizziness, was considering going to the ER.
Can someone else seriously do mine for me?
Or whatever, I reposted all these quotes for context.
I'm really really sorry Baler. I have failed you bigly.

People can be proud of be physically active.
I encourage people to post their push up results in this thread during the month of june.

I think I'm just gonna walk a mile or two every day, because I've only done 2 push ups and I'm already fighting the urge to go knock over display stands at Game Stop.

My chest is on fire, back in bed.
I sat up in my rocking chair awhile while nervously refreshing threads.
What if I die from doing a single pushup :(
Physical activity is great though.
I really miss it.

Cool sculpting and removal of excess skin.
Also just increase muscle mass.

I don't care that you don't do push up, you are looking for alternatives.
I merely stated, it's very obvious too, that these guys don't do 300 push ups either they're just pretending to be tough guys and same other into doing what why wish they were doin but lack discipline for.
For all the talks about being wealthy individuals who work the best jobs and who are the smartest of the bunch, they sure spend a lot of time here playing a free 20 years old game and saying a lot of evident fallacies through a big number of apparent lies.
They're not doing 300 push ups.
They merely want you to believe you do so you feel inadequate and look for moral compass which they will happily provide after.

What a cope. Can pound out 300 in a day if I really had to because I maintain a very basic level of physical fitness. If you can't do 20 pushups in a row you're wasting your body and deserve your lower life expectancy.

I have some weights to lift and go out on a nice walk everyday. Its great if you really can do 300 pushups every day and want to maintain your health. Personally I don't need to pony show my physical fitness because I already do something most people are incapable of doing everyday: being genuine and compassionate to my fellow man.
I challenge you all to perform 300 acts of kindness and courtesy this month, with no incentive other than being awesome to everyone around you. Smiling, being pleasant, give someone a compliment, hold a door open for a stranger, ask if the person at the counter is having a good day.
Good luck with that, pretty sure more than half of you will quit the challenge in the next 5-10 minutes.
See Starkind, they openly say it.
They tough guy, they think they can.
And I mean, probably can, 300 push ups is pretty easy.
But that's the kind of dudes who would do 300 pushups without stretching to prove they can without really thinking about the implications and never talk about how they felt like shit 2 weeks after that.
They read a book about the state of the world, once, in 1993 so they know everything there is to know about everything there is to know about.
They think they could do a lot of things outside of their own expertise.
Dunning-Kruger is all about them.

I usually do 20 push ups in the morning, a few sit ups, and the same at night before bed which I know is not great but helps me relax.
I never done 300 push ups before stretching, but I did go for a 3 hours bike ride this week after a year an a half of no bike and I feel it still. (mountain bike)

Simple routine I try to follow while sitting on my ass working from home - Once every hour or hour and a half, do 15 pushups, 25 squats, 1.5 minute plank, and repeat. Less if needed. Then drink a big glass of water, cuz that shit's good for you. Whole thing takes less than 10 minutes, gives the whole body a good shake, and will get your heartrate up. The numbers add up pretty well if you repeat it 4-5 times throughout your day. Also helps keep you focused and the day seems to go by faster since you're always looking forward to the next round.
When I used worked in a 10 story building, i'd try to walk up and down the stairs every hour. Sometimes twice if I was was training for ski season. Called it my smoke break.
Whatever you do, if you're in a chair all day, try to get up and move once an hour. Even if it's just stretching. Your body will thank you.

This is legit. I would add a set of bicep curls and overhead press to the mix. Gonna need a set of at least 20-25lb dumbbells, but hey, take your ass to academy and spend 50 bucks. It's worth it, weights don't go bad.
Another thing to consider too. If you're doing this the idea is to build muscle right. Make sure you're getting adequate protein with every meal. They're expensive, but muscle milk shakes are fairly palatable, and 25g of protein a pop helps out.

I don't know if you're trolling or not but an alternative to pushups could be to just do dumbbell press and tricep extensions with weight you can do a lot of reps with. You could also use bands. If you get creative you can hit a lot of muscle groups with either of those.

Lost my bands :(
My phone reads 61 steps just from picking it up from my night stand to my bed. Lol...
Tbh I'm afraid of it being toooo easy. Wall push-ups are doable. Probably better for me. And I should just aim for like 50 or 100 of those in a day.
The whole point of the challenge is for awareness and motivation.
I really need to get a new set of bands from Amazon.
I am doing a lot better than I was really. Like I'm able to get up and do some very light activity. One day I think I managed a whole genuine 600 steps.
