Trusting others for an item transfer

Suppose another player agrees to help you transfer an item, something really big-ticket (50kpp+), and they don't follow through?

Would customer support drop everything to help you out or would you be s.o.l. ?

I always drop transfer but thinking maybe I'm being too paranoid. I know standard advice is to choose a L60 with a big-name guild but still...

Pretty sure one of the things they take most seriously is players defrauding eachother. Just get screenshots of “/tell friend will you transfer some items for me /tellsyou sure np” if you’re worried.

Remember what zone you gave them the gear in. I recently learned a lot of stuff is logged on the zones, dunno about trades but just in case.

As Jawnie my blue casino guy from better pre red days I transferred a rod of annihilation to some guy, but traditionally CSR would tell you to get fukt. Despite complains staff here would probably help you out.

Truth be told I'm an honest john and drop transfer in places with no wandering NPC's and its really easy to find zero pop zones for hours on end in red so its no prob.

Making posts like these really aren’t a good look. Posters can decide who to ignore for them selves. Sure, many of us were kids in 1999, but play ground queen bees meddling to create in and out groups is one era appropriate thing we can do without.

Op, don’t expect the gms to search the logs over a 2k sword or something. I’m sure if you’re respectful and it’s a 50k item they’ll atleast try to help you out. Again, remember the time and zone of the trade to make their job easier if they get around to you.

Tuna, trick is to not think about the sucks unless it’s out of respect for adversary, just focus on what you can do to make it better and do it- and get the reward trigger of accomplishment. It can be as easy as cleaning all the dish’s and saying “hell yeah, I did something and it’s better here”.

I have never had a problem passing items and pp. Arleigh I use the most but if he isn’t on I use any 60 or high level in a major guild. Never once had a problem.

I don’t think item transfers with other players is dangerous on p99 and I have confidence when I say this. It’s one of the aspects of classic that I’m stoked is non existent. Idk if it’s because the classic player base has matured in 30 years(thank god) or that it’s policy enforced.

The real question is, how did you acquire a 50k item yet have no friends you can trust to transfer stuff for you?

I’m not trying to accuse you of RMT, but ultimately I’m kinda hinting at the possibility.

Normally by the time you can acquire a 50k item a handful of people have your login info... just saying. Sharing accounts is not against policy, but RMT is- aside from being heavily frowned upon by the community.

I’m going to ask you straight up, did you eBay a fungi and now that your lvl 25 ranger has almost outgrown it do you want to make an sk?

If you’re respectful and gms search logs for your fungi that you actually RMT’d, expect a lot more extra help then I previously mentioned.

In fact, if any of my rmt accusations are true I’ve already dry snitched on you here on these forums- if your station account was registered to this this forum account and either has traded RMT’d items you can expect help from GM’s.

I think the only thing gms take more seriously then defrauding other players is players trying to make a dime off their hard work.

As for 50k items, it's just a matter of time. By the time my shaman soloed to mid 50s I had 68kpp banked just vendoring drops. Then I blew it all on twink items which until now, as I said, I have been drop transferring.

I soloed a rogue from 50-55 like 6 or 7 times way back and I didn’t have much more then about 30k and prices from back then match up the the blue prices being 2k fbss and 50k fungi. I’m sure shamans can solo better plat camps then a rogue with broken gear.

I've had random people help me transfer dozens of times. Just look for someone with a guild tag (there are usually repercussions in a guild if someone is a thief) and who isn't naked (naked toons are often mules), jot their name down just in case, and do the trade. Have never had anyone steal my stuff when I've followed those rules.

If you ask some naked level 1, you're gambling.
