What is probably the best eqemu server after p99

I tried out TAkP which is super fun

but what about the other ones? Anyone played any of the other servers?

What are they like? Do you still play them?

No I am classic guy and none of these have PVP either. I only explored shards when there was a chance they would do PVP.

I played on Shards of Dalaya before P99 and we got to max level, enjoyed all the custom content, and over all it was a great experience. It wasn't until my band of friends and like minded noobs wanted to start trying raid content that we found out about some stupid quest that requires a loot from every raid boss on the box. Everything was camped to the max by top equipped players who could basically solo raid content preventing us from putting our foot in the door anywhere.

Shards of Dalaya is a custom box with eQ zones renamed. It was originally very classic not very custom but has since gone all sorts of directions.

Shards allows 2 boxing but not 3 boxing.

In the other discussion thread it was mentioned that there are essentially no servers outside of project 1999 that attempt to regulate boxing.

Because I have never played it, if I was going to do some non PVP EQ I would probably do the hidden forest but who knows

SoD has a 2 box limit and the classes are not 1 to 1 with everquest, They have a wiki that explains some of this info. They also have a global chat in game.
They still do updates too, it's worth trying once in my opinion.

There has been a case in the past where someone used their p99 login info on another eqemu server and they had their stuff stolen.

World server owners do not actually see your login info. However, if you share the same account *name* and give your account to someone on EZ server, they can access your account *name* emu-wide.

So if your account name is 'Baler', and you log into P99 using the 'Baler' account, the same account name / ID pair is used for all EQEmulator login server accounts.

This, of course, does not mean you should ever reuse your password anywhere.

Think of EQEmu as a form of OAuth2; servers don't see your password, just that 'it is you'.

Make sure you DO NOT have it running while playing p99, ya know because you're playing PEQ at the same time you're playing P99. You'll get autobanned.

My point was never use the same username and password anywhere for any reason. If you do this and your account is accesed by someone other than you. You are the only person to blame for your own stupidity. As the kiddies say "I was hacked" when there was no hacking involved.

And there was a case where someone used the same username / password on another eqemu server and they had their p99 stuff taken & banned. If they account shared on another server that is likely why, because that's 9/10 the cause.

Secrets hangs out with very shady private server people. He attacked me by saying I claimed people with server access were at fault here. I never said that.
