Rod of Insidious Glamour

Sultin, in Temple of Sol Ro, appears to be bugged. He will not accept the turn ins for the Rod of Insidious Glamour. He won't advance in dialogue past a certain point and seems to be on a different faction than the rest of the Sol Ro people. I've factioned to get past indif with solro, but he remains indiff. I'm guessing that the only people that have completed the quest are enchanters after charming Sultin, but this wasn't necessary back in the day. Anyone could do the quest.

Charm does not make the mob change faction towards you past indifferent, unless you're the charmer, which i am not in this case. And the quest currently requires higher than indifferent faction, which is what Sultin cons. I am aimiable with SolRoTemple, but Sultin is on a different faction for some reason.

Not sure how that'd be possible considering the quest was doable by anyone back on live and everyone starts at indiff beta-neutral faction. Only those who have taken positive beta-neutral faction would have been able to do the quest (in the current form, assuming that he is in fact beta-neutral), which i'm pretty positive is untrue.

I did some checking, the quest required amiable faction back in the day and there are a couple ways to raise your faction.

Alright. Thanks for the confirmation then. However, he doesn't appear to be on SolRoTemple faction, is this working as intended also? I've raised my SolRoTemple faction past aimiable, but he's still indifferent.

I've completed the quest by raising my BetaNeutral faction past indifferent.

I just went back and camped shadowed men a second time and then went back to Rathe AGAIN and this time attempted 5pp instead of the 50GP.

She is most definitely broken and if possible i would like at least 1 shining stone back if nothing else.

Happened to me this afternoon too. Cynthia ate my stone and 50g (plus the other 50 gold, and the 5pp I gave her in desperation afterwards). But yes, first attempt I handed her a shining stone and 50g only to have it poof.

I'm guessing don't try again till after Fridays quest fix day that was announced. We might get reimbursed our stone and gold. I too gave her 50gp then 5pp with the stone and then another 50gp without the stone in desperation. They said as long as you petition you should be okay.

Fixed. She only takes gold according to the quest text. There was an issue with the platinum addition so I just removed it.
