Shaman Epic Quest Faction

Green Server. Working on True Spirit Faction by repeating the beginning turn in quests: Tiny Gem and Envy, Woe, Marrs Promise. I got the "your faction with TrueSpirit could not possibly get any better" - but the Lesser Spirit cons only "warmly". According to wiki I need max Ally to do the final turn in.

Bugged? or am i missing something? thanks very much.

Yeah that doesn't look correct. I am just throwing out a wild guess, but maybe the "Ally" con wasn't introduced until Velious? If you get the "could not possibly get any better" message, your character's faction numbers on the server should be maximized. I have never heard of a quest being capped in a way where the gains get cut off early, preventing you from reaching maximum. Maybe the con system just had one less message in it before Velious? Or maybe it is a P99 non classic way to prevent people from cheesing certain quests that need faction?

Ally doesn't exist until velious, that much is true. I tested faction levels on green though and the range for warmly includes what would be the ally range, so if you are at max warmly on green it should be the same numerical value as max ally on blue. It has also been proven that max faction is not necessary for shm epic though, fwiw.

Ah that makes sense for the Ally con. While it is true that you don't need max, most people prefer to get to max, because it is easier to know you have the correct levels. Nothing is worse than turning in your epic and getting nothing back:) This is especially true while Ally isn't a con. That means you have no idea what version of warmly you are at.
