Totally, like despite everything, and yet red 1.0 is still the best EQ server, let alone pvp server. It's because the community here has grown strong and healthy.

PVE servers are cool and I will play them.

But once you play a server with cheetos in your beard, rolling dice across the table from a guy with elf ears, where there is a point to rolling DND dice, then PVE servers aren't best.

I'll play any decent pvp server even if I'm too much of a wuss for rallos.

Red99 is awful.

Community - weak, no backbone, no talent, no character, loser bracket from the blue servers

Expansion - Velious.... the worst expansion to be stuck in. The Sleeper is awoken which is suppose to be the end of the expansion that now leads into luclin but as a sick joke this server is stuck in limbo for eternity. It is the worst part of a bad expansion to be stuck in for eternity.

Devs - There hasn't been a dev looking at pvp balance or pvp mechanics in like 5 years? They tampered with resists after a few years and I don't think they ever checked it again. This server doesn't even have a dev. Anything pvp related was just left unbalanced or broken forever because there is no dedicated PvP dev.

Server Rules - This server is as blue as possible. People just complain about raid or training rules and try to get people banned.

Low population - Everquest with 20-40 people playing without being able to legally multibox is the worst mmo I can think of. Very boring and tedious. Also people do box you just have to be okay with possibly getting banned with all progress erased to be able to do stuff on here.

Just redo all the expansions with Vanilla stats so ppl don't have to keep leveling. Keep Vanilla Vanilla. Get rid of keying.

I remember waking the sleeper and the server psychos, like tune, swearing up and down that they would restore the sleeper

it's been... 5 years? now and I've heard that tune still plays to this day, despite the sleeper never being restored
