View Full Version : New installation - black screen on startup

Hi all,

Newbie here with a probalem.
I just installed Titanium and the P1999 files on my computer. A completely new installation.

When I start by running the "Launch Titanium" batch file a black window fills my screen and nothing happens. Task Manager shows the App 'eqgame' as "Not responding".

This is on a Windows 10 - 64 bit.
Installation is On the D: drive (an SSD)
The only change from default is that I changed the Launcher batch file to CD into the Titanium folder:
D:
cd "\EQ_P1999"
start eqgame patchme

Any ideas?

Craine im having same problem. Just reinstalled after a year break on a new pc. i make it past sever selection and then black and nothing but a mouse cursor.

I don't even get that far.
I get a black screen as soon as I start the application.

Im not sure if it may help, but I had to reinstall the game for the first time recently after like 10 years. I used that link and it worked fine.

Thanks! This worked much better. :)
I wiped my installation and started fresh from the instructions on the video and everything started to work.

Now the game just crashes every time I camp or quit.

That can be fixed by setting eqgame.exe compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2/SP3
