The only topic worthy of discussion is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, son of the Living God, bringer of all Life, the Way, the Truth, and the one true Light. Forever and ever.

Amen.

When the first liar met the first idiot, religion was born.

Religion is kinda more interesting than politics when it's actual esoteric discussion of things and not just sin calling (name calling).

Religious discussion has been much more interesting. I’ve been doing my darnedest to encourage posters to be Christlike, embracing the sinner without judgement but abundance.

Lets talk about racing. What kind of racing do you like? Endurance? F1? IMSA? NHRA? No prep? street? autocross? Rally? Mud racing? Sand drags? Horsey?? Dogs? Humans? Its all speed running if you think about it.

I honestly hate BEING in a race

I always found racing more of a watching sport

Politics isn't boring, it's corrupt. Which pisses me off.

If it's not boring then you probably still think it's real

I agree. when I was young, I thought "ima be the best drag racer in the state!" no... im not. Lining up is fucking nerve wracking. Just pulling up to the box, doing your burn out, backing up into the lane, bumping into the first bubble.. I'd be shaking and sweating inside the car. Cut a shit light, lose. lol

On the street its even worse. There are no rules, everyone is yelling, trying to get you to fuck up etc.

Been to a few drag races.

That shit is terryifing to my brain that rejects loud noises, smoke, lots of fast fiery moving parts, and I hate flying even tho I flew in a sailplane once.

Boiled peanuts and a light beer is a good lunch though!

I like to watch, too. Its much more fun. I like endurance 24h, like le mans, sebring, etc. Seeing all the other cars, all the technology in play. It blows my mind when you see cars start together then 24 hours later they are one seconds apart, if that, by the end of the race. AMAZING.

That and the now 2 second pit stop for f1... holy shit. 4 tires, 2 seconds or less... I think the record is like 1.7. Thats so insane. Its like a dance. I saw this video where they put heart monitors on the pit crews. They were cool as a cucumber when the car was in the pit lane. When it pulled into the box, their heart rates doubled up in an instant and then it was done. High fives all round. Amazing.

Long distance running is HARSH. I have much respect for athletes that do this.

There is so much cool shit in this world. I like to look into a ton of different subjects <3

Used to play NASCAR on the PC in like 1996 or something was very deeeep game with tilting ur car just right for the track.

Running is an artform, there's safe ways to do it. I enjoyed learning, and I think I preserved my legs pretty well.

"Show me" he said.

I be doing clams every night to build up my ass to avoid that inward knee-dip.

Yeah, core strength is important too, cant just focus on the calves or that muscle on the front of ur thigh or one muscle or your going to be so sorry lol.

When I was running a lot i was doing a fullll body weight routine with squats, and all kinds of other stuff i cant even describe like at football practice were u crab walk side ways and lunges, butt kicks, yoga circles with my legs in every direction.

Yeah core strength is often overlooked. My soccer coach who used to be on mexico's national team incorporated those scissor leglift routines for a solid 5 minutes into his warmup exercises.

In freshman year, I had a resting six-pack while sitting down,. Observed in disbelief by colleagues in my freshman year of weight training, while able to supine leg press 800lbs; more than the 250+ lb linebackers on the football team. Could full sprint a mile in just under 4 minutes. I had more of an antelope stride, though, which isn't very conducive to dribbling a soccer ball, so I played center defense; a position where being outran cannot be a possibility. I did run across a Mexican kid on an opposing team who had the whole rapid piston style of running down pat though, and he was almost able to outrun me. His team ended up getting suspended from the league when their "fans" erupted from the bleachers wanting to fight us, after I slid tackle-trapped the ball into his fast moving legs a few too many times to their liking. It was a legit play though. Never made any contact with his legs directly; he just couldn't stop tripping over the ball.
