Please help.

I installed the game on my pc. brand new. already have log ins for a few years. so i install the game. carefully and correctly, and no matter which character i chose, on either blue or green, when i click enter world on my characters, the game freezes or just stops. no error code, or anything. the music plays and it just sits there.

By we I mean someone will, I have no idea, could you post the computer specs? I know that is important part. Windows OS versoin or something?

Did you set compatibility mode to Win XP? (right click->properties is my guess, not using windows myself)

Ah Sorry missed that part. Are you connecting through Wifi? Is the new cpu 4.2ghz or faster?

Are you launching in windowed mode? If not, try that and then play with your resolution settings. Normally if the client doesn't like these it'll crash with something like a "resetdevicefailed" message, but /shrug it's simple enough to try.

Edit your eqclient.ini file and look for "windowedmode" and set this to TRUE if it isn't. Then, look for "WindowedWidth" and "WindowedHeight" and set these to some simple 4:3 ratio - like 800 and 600 or 1024 and 768. See if it'll launch with that.

Have you tried any 3rd party options like WinEQ2, Wined3d4win or dgvoodoo2?
