My first time in Kunark and I'm wondering what are items to go after, quests to do...

On Green I sarted couple of Gnomes and there is easy, I know the steps:

- skeletons for cloth armor and bone chips for Quest XP
- CB belts for XP and Tatered armour
- minotaures drops ~3 platina per axes
- sisters bandids in LF for lots of platina

What should I focus on in Field of Bone for first 15 levels? I noticed some Skeletons wear shields that sells for 1 platina. Cool, have already enough money for at least lvl 5 spells, maybe even lvl 9 spells. (plus several stacks of bone chips, yay!)

Speaking of shields, they have Iksar in their name, but my Iksar can't wear them since it is Necro, what injustice! ;)

But what else should I focus on? What are 'must do' quests and 'must do' NPC's?
Since I'm on Red, no worry about area being crowded, I have no competition ;)

Edit: Actually, I'm asking for any Kunark starting zone, what I should not miss out on?

You should focus on getting into Kurn’s Tower as fast as possible and you should avoid even touching a single badger until you leave that place. Its skeleton heaven but if you ruin your badger faction it’ll suck for a necro. Farm those skels until they green out.

After that move into the Dalnir brutes in WW those guys are fake scowlers and non-social and drop tons of gems they’re all around level 22 to 25.

The Giants in the same zone in that fort are also great and you can feed on the goblins they have their own fort by the shore.

Definitely do your trainer class quest it’s really nice headgear

What you should do also is roll an Iksar necromancer on Green and join the Iksar guild they have tons of necros you can get every single kunark necro answered quick.

Ha, didn't even know there is an Ixsar guild on green, great idea, will definitely do, thanks. (My Ixsar may stay level 1 on green though lol)

I have read about not killing a Badger on wiki, you confirmed it, thanks, and didn't know the rest, so thank you a lot for all the info, very appreciated. :)

I'm ashamed to admit, I have this page in my bookmarks, and using it several times, but... just for a map. I didn't even realized, that it is actually a guide. Ouch! :o

Curscale Armor my next goal, thank you!

Low level quests are the very funnest part of the game. Man I love em.

Anyone remember the POp era? or LDON era noob quests? Man those were awesome.

Looking at: http://wiki.project1999.com/Kurn%27s_Tower it says: "Level of Monsters: 10-25" What is comfortable level to enter as clumsy & bad player? Lvl 10 or should I wait until 12 to get new set of spells?

edit
ahh, forgot, going to create lvl1 iksar on green right now and join iksar guild for questions ;)

Did some asking around, looks like lvl 10 should be ok. Hope badgers stay friendly ;)

I may have got here too late, but the way I did my iksar warrior which seemed really fast to me was,

1-3 hunt the level one skeletons, turn save all your bonechips until like 2.5 and then turn them all in for level 3.

At this point you should immediately go buy a large sewing kit.

3-8 wiki map “D” is the entrance to spider caves there is 19 lvl 2 to 5 spiders in here on a 6 minute timer. Group up or pick a room until you can clear more than one. The exp is amazing no and you will get a ton of spiderling silks which you can combine to sell for more plat than anything else at this level or make your own bandages. Buy 7 backpacks and stock up on food and water.

8-13: I did CB at this point, fairly easy to get a port at the EJ zoneline or east cabilis if they are fire pot bound. Check with ones quadding in gfay from a wizard (have them invis and bind you in gfay CB zoneline if they are feeling super generous). Casters probably want to buy spells up until 16 before you take off(you’ll make close to 150pp off the silks).
By the time I hit lvl 13 I had enough faction as a warrior to get an invis back to canloe nusback And turn in all of my belts/pads. I was then able to train at the warrior guild in kaladim.

13-19: CB again throne room is insane xp, collect pads to turn in and belts to sell at this point, by level 15 I was non kos to wood elf guards and trained double attack at wood elf
Warrior guild.

19-21: I did upper guk

21-23: been bringing a static group of friends I made in CB during same playtimes to perma and we are getting amazing XP doing flag room and entrance, the loot is awesome, one of the casters can just gate sell and split. Dying here is a nightmare but the exp is totally worth it, plan on staying in perma til atleast 30.

Yes, CB is nice. Aso at lvl 12 you can go to Bandit Sisters in LF for very good Platina. I have Druuid in that area. For Iksar I decided to stay in his homeland as long as possible for different scenery, different play, something new for me ;)

Well, for Kurn's Tover at lvl 10 you need to have some luck. If two guards are red, you are out of it.

One was blue. So i did manage to enter. Inside one red attacked me. Managed to escape over the zone line. When I came back, both guards were red. Ouch! Tried to kill one, but he disagreed with me and I ended up biting the dust. lol

Will level outside until 11 and see if I can enter at that point. Putting two red's at the entry of the room is just not fair! If I wouldn't know better, I would think that this game is brutal...

For Kurn's it helps if you invis vs undead and go to the secret room on the first floor, #2 on the map. This way you don't have to deal with the entrance mobs and call pull to that safe room from the whole floor, picking and choosing the right con skel for your needs.

At level 9 and 10 just hunt the scalebones. At 11 you will find even con greater skels and then at 12 the whole floor opens up.

If you're planning on getting to level 24 on the Iksar necromancer then I suggest you focus on raising your Brood of Kotiz faction (Iksar Necromancer guild faction). You will con amiable to Keeper Rott but you will need to be high amiable to do his quest for the level 24 pet haste spell(it's the alternative to researching that spell which can be difficult to find all three words needed). You can do the Iksar skullcap quests which starts with Master Xydoz to help raise faction and it also fits the bill for beginner necro quests. So two birds with one stone for the OP. You can also kill some low level mobs in FoB and WW to raise the faction. Maybe 100 ish faction hits will do it.

Praise Amun!

Pick a city in Antonica, Faydwer or Odus and get faction so you can easily bank/sell/buy and train. I recommend Neriak. Buy bags full of red wine and turn them in to Lokar To'Baith who can be found in the library of Neriak Third Gate. You can drop invis in his room and you won't be kos to him. Very easy quest that opens up most of the city to you. You can bank and buy/sell in peace in the lower level by the bank. You will need to con stuff to find out which guilds are kos and there will be some hot spots to watch out for including the cleric guild and nearby cleric guards and the ghouls that guard the necromancer/sk guild but you ITU past them and the rest of the guild will be dubious which means you can't buy/sell there but you can train!

Praise Amun!
