Sending/receiving tells crashes game

This just started happening about 3 hours ago. I started crashing often, which has never been a problem before. Now when I log in, if I send a tell to someone it crashes my client. I just tested someone else sending me a tell and it crashed my client. Halp!

did you make a window extremely small and have tells going to it

Not that I can see. I did turn off tell windows and now i'm not crashing when I send/receive.
