I wouldn't bet my life on it, but that seems to be the right way to go. Reasons is this

1. Vanilla JUST ended on green, not a lot of people trying to get back into it.
2. Kunark JUST launched on green, a lot of people enjoying the jungle.
3. Velious will be fun when it launches for these same people.

I think we got our 1 year or whatever of kunark followed by 1 year or whatever of velious before they drop a new progression server. Red realistically is going to need to pull from the blue and green players to get decent population. Hopefully Blue and Green merge and settle at like 500 pop and new red server is also around 500 pop for everyone who wants progression again and the pvp element.

It would be nice to see some non-committal discussion from staff about this, I'm not sure why it is so important to say nothing for years at a time.

The custom 2 teams sullon zek rules server is a staff concept from like 5 years ago. I believe the map floating around was made by staff too. I don't remember if it was neriak vs freeport or what. Ogres and trolls were on different teams.

I'm a classic guy at heart and would just like a rallos zek replica server and not a custom hogwash server. I'd play whatever they make.

Project 1999 for life. Staff is aware of new server needs for PVP. We just like to have something to talk about on the forum thats all. Really looking forward to the next iteration. I think if they make it with caveats like "If this server tanks it will be wiped fast and all characters kicked to red99 1.0" could allow them to dumpster the server faster than their typical servers without making people lose their work.

There's lots of people who want to help.

RoZ was a spawn of this need, I didn't play there but there's lots of people that may want to help run a Red99 server if it has some community derived rules applied to the server...I.e. let the community decide what ruleset they want.

For instances most only want a GM involved for direct cheating and training, not constant petty shit because some nerd from Blue doesn't understand there's no camp rules on Red99 and while he was afk medding he got PKed and then corpse camped so he /petitions.

It involves listening to the community that wants to play on one of these servers.

Also people should have a cap of petitions they are allowed per year to stop the Tunes' of the world spamming petitions about every elf grievance that possibly could have being committed, so use them wisely.
