Patch Steps -- Patch was from Here https://www.project1999.com/ - top of page
Applying the Patch
Download the most recent patch (see above)
Open it up (the patch file is a "zip" file, ie. a file containing many files)
Extract every file in the patch zip file into the EverQuest installation directory, overwriting any existing files. (Again, if you don't overwrite you will keep the wrong versions of files.)
Once that is completed, the following files must be DELETED or MOVED OUT OF the Titanium directory (ed: is this still true?):
arena.eqg
arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
lavastorm.eqg
nektulos.eqg
Nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
Failure to delete these files will result in problems accessing certain zones.
Used the Same Titanium launch.exe i have always used
Will get an error about being unable to connect to the patch server
if that error does not appear - will just bounce me back to the login screen
Im possibly missing a Step -- any help would be appreciated
Can anyone give me some next steps
thanks
What's in your eqhost.txt file?
[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

Just updated to that hostname to match what you showed
I log in with no errors - Select the server - it then bounces me back to the original login -- I login and then get a error before the server selection Cannot login to the everquest server. You may need to re-run the Update Patch. Repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the patch server. This is usually temporary
When i am able to get to a character select on BLUE - no Characters are there
Are you able to test from a different connection, like using your phone's hotspot or a VPN? Now, what you're describing is common for folks whose ISPs have a temporary routing issue (that usually resolve themselves given enough time) so just ruling that out.

No difference - I re-installed -- i did get a glimpse of the char select screen that said i had an incorrect file -- re-updated the patch files in the directory -- no change

If you had to change the eqhost.txt file to match then you didn't apply the patch correctly.
Make sure when you extract it, it properly overwrites all the files.

Just extracted directly to the P99 file location -- same thing -- do i need to use a specific launcher? --
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EverQuest-Project1999\EverQuest.bat"
That is what i am currently using -- or is there a certain file that you wouldlike to see
thanks
1. move your install out of program files. That will save you future headaches.
2. you want to be using the "launch titanium.bat" file to start the game.

Updated the Files again today as this weekend i was getting to the character select screen but none of my characters are there. When i see this it means my files are out of date - updated the files again and now there is not a server list -- the eqhost file is correct any other suggestions
Have you tried using a hotspot or VPN to rule out connectivity issues?

Did you ever resolve it? I'm trying to log in after a while and am seeing the same issue. With some effort I can get as far as the select character screen but never actually logged in. Most efforts are a blank server list. Quick launch will go to character screen sometimes but never fully load.
I've tried reinstalling several times and reinstalled WinEQ. No difference. Also not a connectivity issue.
Also not a connectivity issue.
What steps have you taken to rule this out?

I had a similar issue at one point, it turned out my zip program wasn't extracting or overwriting the patch files, I also had to rename dsetup.dll to DSETUP.dll.
