Will it live up to Season 1?

With Baby Yoda, can it fail?

This is the way!

I won’t be holding my breath, but I long ago accepted that Star Wars movies are not made for me to like. I imagine it will check all of the nostalgic Star Wars boxes though.

is it animated?

Not animated, worth watching, better than anything marvel cinematic universe and Star Wars in the past couple decades by leaps and bounds. That said, it’s not amazing, won’t make you more intelligent or less obese, and has quite a few filler episodes. I enjoy it, however. I have spoken

Mandalorian worth watching?

dumb question sorry

If you go into it with a "this is more of (one) my favorite genre(s) and more is better" then it's worth watching. If you're going into it as "this had better be as top notch as <Insert favorite Star Wars movie here>" then no.

As far as Galach's question: probably. I hope they name the damn race of The Child already. FFS.

I think it’s better than all but the original Star Wars trilogy

Rogue one was actually an OK movie as well

So I liked the first season ok I guess, it was better than those last couple of awful movies and the acting actually isn't all that bad.

The mistake they're making with this show IMHO is trying too hard for the Firefly vibe. Let it Star Wars, be chill.

I'm going through the Sharpe's series now so I'll catch up on this season here when there's a couple of more episodes in.

They never should have made the prequels or sequels or spinoffs imo. Let well enough alone. And I've seen them all, and they all kind of suck in different ways.

Also who the fuck put jj abrams in charge? Lost sucked shit man, I'm sorry. It was terrible.

You know, the prequels really have grown on me over time. The first one is hard to watch but they get better, especially after racist caricature guy fades out. When they first came out theatrically I couldn't believe how bad they were, and on the second watching to confirm I was like yeah he went insane and ruined it all, but on the third go around I started watching the first one ironically, but then the second and third went down ok.

There's a lot of good parts either way, like that robot with the wavy arms and the covid.

The phantom menace almost hits that so bad it’s good area of cinema for me. The Chinese and Jewish aliens are mind bogglingly racist, and then you throw in jar jar binks and Jedi bacteria hahah. I must say that I enjoyed the prequel movies more than the newer trilogy. The writing for those was so terrible, and there was an insane amount of cringe moments.

I guess my beef with the mandalorian comes down to the writing as well. It seemed like it was always trying way too hard. Something about watching Carl weathers side step Point blank laser fire from an elite stormtrooper unit just didn’t work for me. I did really like the first few episodes though, and must admit that it is the best star wars medium in a long time. Im sure if I was 10, I would be all about that shit.

As a Mandalorian fan, I'm as hopeful as I am for the blue raid scene

you guys who like Mandalorian should also check out the Disney Gallery 1 hour special on season 1 (and soon on season 2) that my company produced -- great shit if you're into the nuts and bolts of how these shows get made and a lot of the groundbreaking technology that was developed for the show
