If you do, post which model and how long have you been using it.

I just got one and feel like i should have been using this all along

( in addition to regular )

You guys are stupid I just scotch-taped a toothbrush to my daughter's vibrating dildo and told the family to use that.

A vibrating toothbrush can't melt steel beams.

Yes, a sonic care. 6 years or so. My dental hygienist noticed immediately the difference in build-up level(or lack thereof).

My kids have been using them also. 0 cavities in those 6 years, and they brush only occasionally despite my incessant nagging about it.

Oral-B since 2007 or so. Replaced the charger base twice, but the units themselves have been great. Generic replacement heads from the grocery store work just fine -- change often.

When I got my first one I asked someone next to me if should I get the like $200 one or the regular $60 one, and she said "I got the 200 dollar one after having the regular one and all it does different is send me notifications on my phone about when I need to brush me teeth."

So get the regular one! And yea, when it runs out of batteries and I brush my teeth with a regular toothbrush I feel like its tantamount to running my finger with some toothpaste on it on em. :p

Electric toothbrushes are objectively better at removing plaque and bacterial biofilm, but how you use them is crucial. They can also fuck up your gumline if used too vigorously (so can normal toothbrushes, but it's more likely with an electric), and gum tissue does not regenerate, and a receding gumline exposes more vulnerable areas of the teeth. Tooth enamel durability plays a major role and is genetically variable. Some people are born with superman level tooth enamel. Others are born with bitchmade enamel.

Sonicare from Costco. It's fine but you have to clear the toothpaste drool regularly or the vibration will suck.

That ad with the waterpik brush cleaning a cob of corn is pretty appealing.

You’re using too much toothpaste.

You’re using too much toothpaste.

Yup. The toothpaste companies show advertisements that are designed to get you to use more toothpaste. So they show the fucking brush covered in that shit.

According to this one dentist who I don't know and who could be insane or not even a real dentist:
