Hi!

Is there a reason why I can't login with my normal wifi network but can with a hotspot or Public wifi (My router broadcasts an xfinitywifi public netork)?

I can get all the way to character select, but when entering the game with a character it crashes back to login screen.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Ankar/Sycodorie

Does the short answer involve a fix? :)

Since I'm not buying a D3.1 and the current one I own is provided to me by my work for no charge that is not a valid solution. But thank you!

I am wondering what recently changed because I was able to login friday night from my home network and by sunday unable to.

It's usually a routing issue on your ISPs side - that's why your hotspot or other wifi works. These can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to be resolved, so I just use my hotspot or a VPN and try logging in normally each day until it works again.

Docsis 3.1 modem

so your cable modem has nothing to do with a router
https://www.howtogeek.com/234233/whats-the-difference-between-a-modem-and-a-router/

chances are you dont need a brand new docsis 3.1 modem
i have a 3.0 16x4 which is still 4x faster than what i need (150 down / 50 up)
there is some on amazon for $30

you can also get an asus n300 router from amazon for $30
i suggest this since wifi is half duplex (like walkie talkies, only 1 person/device can talk at any given time)
a n300 is great for my 150m down connection

i use a raspberry pi configured to be a wifi hotspot with its ac wifi adapter
that was only $35 (with shipping)
i use it, since i can update it about once a week/month if i like
prevents security issues
