What the fuck happened to quest rewards?

55 crushbone belts on my 11 ogre warrior. so little and still kos to dwarves
92 ears on my now 15 ogre warrior. only barely not kos in freeport
105 pickled froglok to offset the belts while neat for faction, bad exp
i can go on with deathfist belts in grobb/freeport but you get the idea

Quest turnins were nerfed hard around green launch. Not sure why. Presumably "classic"?

see? let this be an abject lesson why you never compromise with the whiners they just make shit worse for everyone

at launch green was totally 'crowded' and people were whining because they wanted all the decaying skeletons to themselves

so they turned up the newbie zone mob spawn rate to ridiculous levels, like 30 seconds or something

as a result it made the newbie quests extremely profitable because you could load up on quest items

so they nerfed the quests

then they returned the spawn times back to normal

Grean 3.0 -1000% exp for all players

then you can quit 5 minutes later

they were nerfed so people didnt cheese their way to max level. But then people found new ways to cheese the game and got clickies nerfed.

Green 5.0 - minus 300% exp, quadruple hell levels, one char per ssn at a time, permadeath, no monks or iksar, halflings have rangers and paladins

The stated reason was that they (quest rewards) were not classic and were returned to classic values. Not that they were nerfed due to increased spawns to combat newbie zone densities. If you have in-era evidence that they should be "more rewarding" please provide it so that adjustments can be made.

So the GMs said 'Oh wait these newbie quests are all out of whack with classic from 1999, we can't believe we let it go for 10 years like that thank god the giant influx of new players into Green revealed the problem so we can now fix it at this exact moment'?

Cant speak to other city quest , but the popular one in Qeynos seem to be restored if not fully close to it.

Sashes still give decent XP till around 15 /16 and all the great coin.

see people doing the water to guard quest a lot. tried it with an alt 5 backpacks of water almost level from 7 to 8.

Gnoll fangs of course still good.

surprisingly the moonstone are good xp at level 5 and cheap soure of faction for evil types.
