Just look at that blast wave. People are reporting windows blown at 10 KM away. Local Beirut TV claimed it to be fireworks storage, but truckloads of fireworks won't explode nearly as fast as that secondary.

The director general of customs has been quoted as saying that nitrate was the cause of the huge explosion.

I think there was a first explosion of good magnitude, which may have started a fire where ammunition was stored, which would then have spread to where there was some high explosive contained in rockets or missiles.
