It is my understanding that Project 1999 prohibits multiple instances of EverQuest running at the same time.

This is what I like to do. Does anyone know of a project that allows this?

Pretty much every other EQ EMU allows it but P99.

Thank you for your reply.

I am kinda new at EQ EMU (but not Everquest). I found P99 by accident. Can you recommend a EQ EMU?

Not quite. you can have multiple EQ clients running, but they can't be on the same server.

The recommended EMU you'll see on the P99 forums is P99. Most of us play here because they don't allow boxing. You'll also see that reflected in the server counts (note it's 11am on a Monday Eastern time so the numbers are half what they usually are):

There's a good reason the P99 boxes are consistently top of this list. That said, I've heard people mention liking TAKP, and I think they allow boxing up to 2 or 3 characters. You'll have to read their rules though, because I've never tried their emu.

PEQ. Almost everyone you meet there is boxing. You should see their forums it's all like how to get 6 instances running and keyboard scripts to control everyone.

Imperium is also a solid server that allows for bots to fill in your groups and a second instance of EQ running, but doesn't allow any MQ2 or other scripts so you have to alt-tab and be actually playing both characters. I went all the way through progression in a couple months running mostly solo there and it was a blast.

But p99 always calls back, like that desperate ex that still does that thing you like that nobody else does.
