View Full Version : NPC Spawn Issue: Freeport Harbormaster

Good Evening,

There is an issue with an NPC in East Freeport named Freeport Harbormaster. The NPC is located in the wall near the docks of East Freeport. You can target him but the NPC does not show on track. If you get close enough to the wall with an aoe spell/song, he will aggro and kill the player. I tried researching whether this NPC should be there and even searching allakhazam shows that the NPC does not and did not exist. I assume perhaps the NPC is there as a way to manage the boats but he doesn't even shout when the boat has arrived.

Telin has commented previously on perhaps Freeport Harbormaster existing but not functioning. No evidence is available that the Freeport boat shout was working in era. It's possible he was put in as just a nod to classic, but my guess is he should not be targetable / agro, even by AoE.

I forget when boat shouts were put in (velious?) So not surprised there, also not sure how invis / non targetable / zone shout npcs worked with ShowEQ

He should be completely hidden now, pending update.
