Hi, I updated my files, I am new at this, and I dont know what I did wrong. I can get as far as the character log in and the page says its loaded, then after waiting a while, its say at the botom of my page on the task bar
EVERQUEST (not responding) and then I try again, and still cant get on. It began last night friday 5/6/11 when I tried to zone to Nfreeport and i crashed.
So after th crash I updated my files...and well havent played since. attached are my files, does everything look right? I honestly have no clue what to do to fix this, someone else put this on my machine.

Please see the response to your old post. What client are you using? The Live client? Titanium? SOD? SOF?

Based on the screenshot, I would venture to say you are using the Live client. You would need to purchase EverQuest Titanium. Or alternatively, you could google "alternative methods" of obtaining the game.

How do I find out what client I am using...and I think I am running Titanium....

Well, where did you get the client you are using? Did you install it with discs? Is it the same client you used to play on Live? Did you download it from somewhere?

Let's do it this way.
1) Do you have EverQuest installed on your computer prior to today? If so, do you plan to play on Live ever again? If not, completely uninstall EverQuest from your computer. Let's start from scratch. Even if you plan to play Live again, you'll need to re-install it, as Duxa's installer changed your files.
2) Where did you get the Titanium client? CDs? Download on the internet?
Let's start here. I'm at work, so can help you get this set up. Or alternatively, you can PM me.

looks like its a screen resolution issue, there is way to change eq's resolution with notepad by editing one of the text files... too lazy to search to the relevant posts do it yourself

Based on where he/she put Duxa's installer - He/she changed her Live EverQuest version, and not the p99 version. She's trying to run P99 under the Live install, with Duxa's file modifications to the Live setup, not the p99. Which is why this is happening. I don't believe it's the resolution.

No, never ever going back to live, they overcharge and I cant afford them. I prefer to throw Rogean a little something when I have it. I didnt see any CD's when he came to install it, so he had to have gotten a version from the net....I can show u my EQ folder, the stuff he installed..

Yeah that screenshot you posted is your Live install. Which is why you're getting that error, because you're trying to connect to P99 through your live install. But you need to connect to it through the Titanium.

What this screenshot is of, is a hack program for EverQuest. Nothing you want to be loading while on Project1999. Your best bet at this point is to completely uninstall EverQuest entirely from your computer. And either purchase Titanium, or google "other ways" to "obtain" the program itself.

K, so since Im the dumbshit and dont know what Im doing, can u please tell me where to go from here. I cant reach my brother by phone. I know some chicks are good with all the technical stuff on comps but my knowledge only goes so far. I updated my video drivers cuz I thought that was the issues...but....oh well didnt help. Now Im pretty screwed up.

Start Button > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs
Find EverQuest.
Click uninstall.
(You want EverQuest off your computer, you'll want to start from scratch.)
Secondly, you'll need to purchase the Titanium discs. Like aforementioned. *OR* You can use www.google.com to find ways to get it without needing the Titanium discs. (PM me if you need help with this part.)

like google "free Everquest titanium downloads?" Do I delete everything associated with EQ and wipe it all out? Then go back to Duxas and install his program?

Sounds like at some point you patched the titanium client with the live patcher?
As suggested by Koota I would uninstall it, then install a fresh copy and run option (0) in duxa's installer in the fresh install of titanium. That should get you up and running.
When you ran it previously, did you choose option (0)? If so, did you choose full screen? What resolution?

Do this.. use the installed in my signature and pick option (6), select Windowed when it asks you, and select 1280x resolution.
Then try logging in. Should get rid of error. If it does, we'll take it from there.
