Blue Fight League Thread

I will be hosting a 1v1, single elimination tournament on Monday Jun 15th at 7:30pm ET.

For this event there will be a 5k buy in, with the prizes being 70%/30%/0% of the pool if there are under 10 entrants and 65%/25%/10% if there are over 10 entrants.

Please message me or post here the name of the character you're entering. Buy in/pay out will be done the night of the event.

I'm also posting a poll to see if there may be interest in other categories (teams, level 1 fights). I'd like to have this regularly, and mixing it up could be fun.

1v1 is very poorly balanced. 2v2 or 3v3 is the pinnacle of Blue PVP.

my vote

-3v3 teams. you can pick any combo of classes/races. may only get buffs from your team and your personal clickies.

-only rules should be no clickies once combat starts. may use clickies to buff yourself before hand if they're class specific items or infinite clicks.

-designated fight location to avoid ppl zoning or hiding far off somewhere

-may use all skills, spells and gear your character has collected as long as the clickies happen prior to battle. The only exception is the REZ spell. Once dead, you're dead.

-battle has unlimited time limit and lasts until all 3 members of the team are slain.


I also think it'd be cool to do tier levels. I'm stealing this idea from DAOC battle grounds.

Tier 1: lvl 1s
Tier 2: lvls 2-9
Tier 3: lvls 10-15
Tier 4: lvls 16-25
Tier 5: lvls 26-35
Tier 6; lvls 36-45
Tier 7: lvls 46-51
Tier 8: lvls 52-59
Tier 9: lvl 60s

Free for All be fun assuming top guilds just don’t work together and kill everyone. Then fight amongst themselves. I remember event in 2012 on server GM did and had easily over 100 people.. was super fun.

UPDATE: For some reason I can't edit my original post here. Since more interest seems to be for teams, let's make the first event a 3v3 event! Only rules for the first match will be if you die or leave the pvp area you're out, and no interfering from outside players.

For the first event I'm not going to try to police clickies/buffs. I'd also be interested in having tiers so more people can participate, but let's see how many people actually show up for pvp.

Please try to get your guildies interested, I'm happy to organize more events with different rules sets as long as there are people showing up. I think free for all would have a lower buy in and mostly done "for fun".
