Those with great social security credit scores will get subsidized access to the state run and operated Everquest VR.
Covid-19 finally ends after several vaccination attempts fail. Everyone is fearful of not wearing a mask. An entire new social studies opens up around maskless psychosis and trauma.
Circumvention of the governments MMOauthorization Act to play illicit black market MMOS results in positronic transfer of conciousness to the Krasino mines to serve as NPCs for the next gen of botters.

how do you cast buffs with VR, do you have to look at the person you are buffing and do the spell animation in real life.. for all those people over and over..?

Sure but that is the same thing.. waving your broke arms around over and over in a Raid. Not really thinking this through, would probably be simplified or streamlined to make better sense.
Spell variety and books removed. You get a heal with healers and a nuke with nukers assigned to a single wii mote key.

I run P99 in VR using steam custom game. It shows up as a giant movie theater screen in front of me. I can't see my hands on keyboard but that isn't a big issue now days.

There was a video posted not that long ago of someone playing eq with VR and exploring Freeport and the tunnel. It was pretty amazing.

I have other crutches and obsessive compulsive behaviors to repress my psychopathy with.
What upsets me is watching this kind of systemic exploitation and corruption of what should be the next wave of would be soldiers, nazi, psychopaths, authoritarians, and uniboomers.
It's worse than homosexuality, transgenderism, alcoholism, opioid addiction combined.
We won't have WWIII if all these kids just become Kronobots.
