Hi all

Just a random question I have been grinding up an iksar shammy for a few days now had a thought today they are not able to wear totamic armour due to their poor scales is that right?

I have messed around with a barb shaman also but as an iksar shammy are there many disadvantages to be an iksar Vs other races

Odd question maybe but it randomly popped in my head as was logging in this morning ha

It's not just totemic armor... also jaundiced bone (Kunark).
Mainly this: https://wiki.project1999.com/Jaundiced_Bone_Bracer
But other than those armor sets there should be plenty of choice with Velious regarding armor.
Iksars make good shammies with the regen + AC bonus.
Disadvantage besides Totemic/Jaundiced bone is imo only the fact that they're being hated everywhere but Cabilis (not a huge impact). And the look... If you don't like lizards.

The item Iksar can't wear that matters is the Jaundiced Bone Bracer, which can significantly boost your solo leveling speed from 46+ or make farming mobs a lot lazier (click bracer a bunch instead of cannibalizing and DoTing).

Aside from the obvious AC and Regeneration bonuses, Iksar can also wear robes but there are only 2 Shamans can wear and they are both very hard to get. You will look awesome once you get one though.

This helps to offset the non-iksar AC:

But realistically an iksar is a great choice for shaman, especially if you play in 3rd person a lot. I rolled a troll shaman which is the min max(JBB, Regen, Snare necklace) but if I felt like leveling another one it would definitely be an iksar for the ability to wear robes and just not having to deal with being a fatty/shrink all the time.
