Raid Suspension: The Heretics 30 days

There was an incident several months ago where a member of The Heretics took advantage of a Guide’s kindness during a PVP event. He claimed to be on Airplane island 7/8. The Guide believed him out of good faith, this gave The Heretics access to an area they did not earn. Within 24 hours the Guide and GM Llandris removed the player from this island but did not know he had summoned his friends. Months later The Heretics took advantage of this, killing targets they obtained access to illegally.


We’ve finally remedied this situation by nuking the loot obtained illegally and moved players off the island(s) several days ago. If I missed any items and players want to come forward, that would be great. If I decide to have a Guide double check my work and they find items I have missed that you decided to keep, the accounts in question may be targeted for disciplinary action.

All of this has taken us quite a bit of time to fix, time I wish I could focus on other aspects of p99. I don’t feel this should go unpunished.

The player, along with many of his accounts will be suspended for 56 days and bumped up to that PNP violation level.

The Heretics will be raid suspended for 30 days. If any members are found in a raid zone they will endure an account suspension of 24 days, longer if they have any other PNP infractions. If any members need staff to move them out of any raid zone, please post on the petitions / exploits forums. If any players on red catch any Heretics in raid zones we require a timestamp and screenshot. I will allow a short grace period after this post, get out of those zones.

I’ve taken a snapshot of the current member list of The Heretics. If any members remove their tag and are found in a raid zone, your account will be suspended for 56 days, longer if they have any other PNP infractions.

Not accurate. To the best of my knowledge, Heretics hadn't killed eye for months prior to a raid on 3/24 during which we also killed bees/sister. The vast majority of members had no idea that this occurred eight months ago, nor is it reasonable to expect a member to question how their Plane of Sky summoner was original placed.

I think y'all know I ain't one for getting in on the drama but this is just a bad take and I keep seeing it.

It's raid content, technically, but from what I gather it had nothing to do with any actual raids, it was a small man "exploit" of a stupid request by a single person who happened to be an officer of a guild that is 100x what it was back then.

I've been in just about every major guild on this server, and I've seen no "cheating of raid content" since I've been in Heretic. Any tie of what Heretic does as a guild in 2020 to what one person did after a PvP event in 2019 is pure dramatic hyperbole.

What's worse is Heretic is SO OBVIOUSLY the lifeblood of the server, and this is just a symptom of personal hatreds and insecurities getting out of hand. This petty rivalry between guilds is absurd and childish. Even Apex is better off with Heretic getting big because they have something to do, that's obvious and undeniable. So what exactly is there to gain from this kind of antagonistic, unreasonable behavior? Not to say this is unique to Apex/Heretic/Others, but the drama is ridiculous, it's personal, it's toxic and it leads to this kind of server toxicosis, where individuals are willing to do anything, including wrecking the server during this pandemic, for the sake of discord points or ooc lols.

I'm speaking out now only because Tatonka is now unplayable for a month, I admit that, but I go out of my way to play by the rules on this server, and here I am sitting out for doing nothing even remotely wrong while I see people that I know box or bot or exploit in any number of ways feign shock and horror at seeing one dude do something very straightforwardly dumb, then celebrate the re-death of the server just as it was getting going again. I don't hate anyone in Apex, I like you dudes, y'all know that, but come on.

This was taken on 4/3/2020. Things like this have been said multiple times in OOC (this is just the one time I took a screenshot because they seemed to confirm the Windys had been ill gotten). The information was originally leaked by The Heretic members from what I understand. Hard to believe a large number of folks didn't know about this considering everyone outside of The Heretic knew. I feel like people found out and didn't think anything would happen with it so they stayed. The punishment really isn't that bad since Galach cleared up some confusion yesterday and said that you can be in a raid zone just nothing more than a full group is allowed (hopefully they will provide additional information).

Heretics is a cool guild and the people in it are cool and very hardcore and OG, but seriously this is dumb people shouldn't cheat, and they know who they are.

Most of the Heretics weren't even a part of this and had no clue who or what was done w/ the situation in Sky. Most PoS runs were done by small man crews in off hours, so the majority of current members didn't even partake or assist in the acquisition of said ill-gotten gains. Menden said they have the logs, which begs the question: Why don't you use them?

The punishment shouldn't be applied those who neither played a part in it, nor were around when this all occurred. Nuke the gear, ban the player(s) who caused it, and punish those who actively participated... but to basically nuke the server? C'mon. That's a bit heavy handed.

I was playing the server at the time on an anony alt in neither guild and basically it was non-stop Ragnarok shitting on Apex. Then finally Deetz and Grixus (plus a few others) pushed back a few times and took some heads off enmass. But by then most people had quit again out of bordem....coz really velious is dumb.

My pals in Ragnarok were saying Gongshow and Co were explicitly trying to setup only limited raiding schedules just for the fun of it and not even kill all merbs however most people got bored again and quit. My other pals in Apex were saying how shit scared Tune was and going all 4am inquisition on members who could be spies ans calling 2am raids to avoid Ragnarok.

Tune's only significant move was to wait like 10 hrs at zoneline to harmtouch Gongshow who had plugged from mass PvP. Other than that he spent his days hiding on various clerics that had been abandoned by former players... basically trying to avoid PvP as much as he could.

If it wasn't for Grixus and Deetz stepping up (and a few others) Apex would have been wiped off the face of Norrath.

The whole 'we drove them off the server' thing is just imaginary rofl. Even most former Apex members agree it's BS and that story is just propergated by people attempting to hangon to something of value for their 20,000hrs invested here.

Today on live I grouped with a druid who couldn't sow. A ranger who didn't know where any zone lines were. None of them could agro or low hp kite or pull.

I told them my mom was calling me to dinner and they basically rage kicked me for not continuing to power level them with my naked rogue doing multiple rolls including out healing every one with bandages.
