Mage pet randomly stops guarding sometimes

Sometimes after killing a mob my pet will just forget it was told to guard and start following again. I don't do anything like hit Pet Back or Follow, it just sometimes stops doing it for seemingly no reason.

I don't suppose you used /pet sit in there somewhere? That seems to cancel guard/follow status.

This is my suspicion here. If you /pet sit to regen hp, player needs to /pet guard again after pet stands up.

Yep it was pet sit, thanks all. Annoying that it works that way but I guess that's just how it is.

You can /pet sit and then /pet guard. Maybe even have both in your sit macro
