I recently got a new macbook running Mojave and for the life of me i can't get EQ to run no matter what i try.
I successfully had it running on my old mac, and i've been running it on Ubuntu for the past 6 months.
So my question: Is there any updated guide to get it working? I've tried the stuff in the Wineskin thread.
Tried installing EQ to a folder using regular wine, then copying the dir into the Wineskin app, i've tried installing it directly in Wineskin (Wineskin always hangs here with either a "Wineskin is currently busy" message or a weird "Oops. no new executable file found" error). And i've tried just running it in Wine without Wineskin.
I even tried running it in a Windows VM :(

Been offline for over a week now and this just sucks.

Mojave is 64-bit only and afaict won't run 32-bit applications like EQ.

Something wrong with Ubuntu? That's my daily driver and it works great there.

Bootcamp (reboot into Win 10 or Ubuntu) or Parallels (run a virtual machine to run Win 10 or Ubuntu).

Both should have threads on the forums.

My advice (and the advice of a lot of Linux developers) is to not buy a Mac to install Ubuntu, but it's quite fine to install it in a virtual machine or dual-boot to it to play EQ.

Have you tried this:

Right click the .app & click Show Package Content

Click on Wineskin.app

Click Set Screen Option

Uncheck Auto Detect GPU info for Direct3D

Also here's a screenshot of what my config looks like (I moved my eq folder outside of program files), but you want to target eqgame.exe instead of the .bat file:

I'm still on High Sierra.

After the latest update, my wineskin broke on me.
I ended up downloading the latest winskin, and getting all of the latest bottles etc.

I copied over the EQ folder from my old wrapper.

Worked well :)

I think with all this 64-bit stuff, there might be some tough issues. Though I know the folks at code weaver (who work on wine) are doing some great work. Hopefully time will fix it :)

virtual machine is also doable, i always find it a bit of a pain though.

The 64-bit app's not running at all is only an issue on Catalina at the moment, so it shouldn't be OP's problem since he said he is on Mojave.
