EQ crashes every time I /camp out

I just want to be able to switch characters without having to wait the 3 minutes for the server to realize I'm not in-game anymore.

Go to your install directory, and find the file mentioned, eqgame.exe and right click, click properties, then click on the compatibility tab. go down to "Compatibility mode", check the box and select "windows xp sp2 or 3"
