Enc dropping below 255 charisma ever correct?

Been wearing Neriad Shawl (https://wiki.project1999.com/Neriad_Shawl) but recently got lucky and got a Wurm Lord Shawl (https://wiki.project1999.com/Wurm_Lord_Shawl). Swapping them I drop from 255 charisma to 250.

I charm solo all the time. Am really unsure how much I’m gonna feel those 5 points of charisma. I don’t have any easy way to make up those 5 points of charisma outside of a few high end raid drops. What to do?

Hit points/ac/resists are more important than cha over 200 almost regardless of what you are doing, but especially charm soloing.

Is 200 a soft cap for charisma?

Ya, and it only has a moderate impact on charming. It has a large effect on critical lull rates, however. You might want to see this thread:

At one point I only had 254 CHA but I didn't like it. I felt as if I left my car in a bad neighborhood for the night.

im pretty sure someone did a test on this with charm and lull and 200-255 was like a 1.8% better charm hold and lull crit resist rate.

I know what you mean but it's such an emotional and anecdotally/resuslts driven thing. You can have three charm breaks within 30 seconds that end up killing you with 255 charisma and you just shrug it off like bad rng luck. Have the same thing happen with <255 charisma and you'll be convinced it's cause you don't have 255.

In my case I've decided to go with my 250 charisma till I can get a decent upgrade that takes me back to 255.
