Enchanter epic and Ak'Anon faction

Hello,

I need to give something to Mizzle Gepple (Clockwork VIIX) in Ak'Anon for my epic.

Is a good faction required for that ?

Or can I kill gnomes, ruin my faction, then charm/ mezz to trade for the quest? :)

I used illusion: gnome with Tecmos (who was an agnostic dark elf). I was dubious and apprehensive to some other nearby NPCs as you can see, and gained TrueSpirit faction from the turnin, and didn't need charm, FWIW. I'm guessing you can slaughter gnomes and still be fine. Not sure why I never conned him in any of my old logs :(
