Got an observation on weather? Report it here! Quote and reply directly.

Discuss. Enjoy. Find the truth!

Don't be a coward and not subscribe to this thread.

Are you the smartest meteorologist on the planet? Prove it!

Lets have a free discussion but keep the personal attacks on the lowdown to keep this a ban free thread.

Remember p1999 draws players from all around the globe which will keep the thread interesting, but also means an attack on any particular demographic could be construed as an attack on a poster that is a member of that group - the only hails we want to see here are precipitation reports.

Not even a frost!

You know there is a firm called Swish Architecture in Westbridgford? Not far from Europa Way.
I'm a little worried all the p1999 Brits might be Nottingham based :o

South coast UK here. Heavy rain since Sunday night, looks set to continue until the weekend. Met Office have issued a severe weather warning for rain from Thursday until Saturday.

Not gonna lie, I prefer that to snow when I have to move around the country for Christmas.

I watched a meteor shower on Friday night and it was pretty awesome. I think we saw 6 really good ones in the 20 minutes or so we watched. I highly recommend taking in natures wonders every once in a while.

Consistently 10'C with drizzle until last night - not quite a white christmas but plenty of frost and a nice sunny day (in Bristol the hub of the slave trade) - Merry Christmas !

One of the few jobs you can be wrong AF and still get a paycheck.
Also, I'd believe very close fly-by NEO's would affect weather, but really who knows.

It's been so warm for winter, consistently above 10'C (50F).

The past couple of morning's we've had frost, in fact a frost was even forming today when I was cycling home. It's nice for winter to look and feel like winter, but I'll admit it is nice to save a few quid on the heating bill!

TV Weather station said it was going to be -10 for the rally.
weather reports are a lie, use your brain.
Stuck my head outside and it's 90 with sunshine.
They control the weather!

Big old storm the past couple of days. 70mph winds, frequent torrential downpours and yesterday blizzards while I was transitioning from the bouldering centre to the bus stop.

The walk between my terminal stop and the bank was punctuated by hail, which after my business was completed had reverted to snow. Enough to have a snowball fight after collecting the little one from tennis.

The snow largely disappeared overnight, and the gusty winds have returned.

My kids trampoline got trashed, my loft window was leaking water onto my telly. Least my fence didnt get obliterated. Those winds were crazy, me and the kid were at IKEA when it kicked off. Couldnt see the car park from the door (12 feet away)

I’m glad you mentioned fences. While I was out of the UK i was letting out my terrace and twice the fence came down and was fixed professionally for no cheap fee. The last time it came down I was living not so far away and I righted it myself. Since then it has stayed put.

My biggest worry was waking up to find the panels scattered through the neighbourhood, but apparently i did a better job than the cowboys.

I have learnt the sealing around the master room’s window is perishing and A LOT of water somehow blew in.

Another UK weekend, another storm has dumped a load of rain on already saturated ground leading to flooding almost everywhere. Driving is not much fun as councils seem to have given up maintaining drainage leading to major arterial routes resembling Innothule Swamp.

The Trent is pouring over it’s embakments filling flood plains and onto the raised footpaths. Some of the lower laying drains in the city are suffering backflow and spouting jets of water from their covers. One more storm and I’m sure the city will be underwater. I’m moving what I can to the first floor.
