I'm trying to gauge the pros and cons of farming guards and nobles in HHK for that sweet, sweet XP and pp. Would it be worth it as a human paladin? How hard is it to repair that reputation if I grind in HHK from 35-50? The cash is so tempting, but I'm not sure if I really want to be KOS in Qeynos and Freeport. Should I try to buy out all my spells first, if I do? Will it make some of the later Paladin quests too much of a PITA? What do you guys think?
Unlike people back in the day, you have the great fortune to know with 100% certainty what quests will enter the game and what factions are/remain important to you through your entire existence. Hence the answer is unique to you but pretty easy if you research a bit.

yes it would be totally worth it as a human paladin to spend weeks murdering other lawful humans and robbing them
your reputation might be repairable unlike your eternal soul which of course would be damned for all time

HHK is mostly associated with Evil Guards in Freeport/Qeynos. You can still do quests in North Freeport (Paladins) - including SoulFire, although it does involve the HHK banker you can get someone to charm for you.

The Bards [Storm] & [Starr] and [Isabella] who all spawn on the 2nd floor will give you negative hits to the Knights of Truth in NFP which will effect your SoulFire journey. Be prepared to farm faction from FP militia guards initially and then mix in some repeatable quests.

This reminded me of the time some politicians were doing a lot of things saying they were doing it in the name of god
Turns out their god was a god of murder , deceit and corruption due to how they behaved during office.
So perhaps he is a Paladin of a particular god of larceny and double crossing?
Posing as a Paladin that lays on hands and looks to be good is his actual agenda?
Being a Harm Touching disease spreading life sucking guy might be a bit too obvious for his god of Greed, Theft, Murder and Moral Ambiguity

This is next level roleplay right here.
I mean, people that play PALADINS that kill , maim, smite and hurt people that are not doing anything remotely evil in game are roleplaying no??????
How else a Paladin that devoutly dedicates his/her life to protect the innocents is going to systematically murder Law Enforcement Officers of the Local Law that are besieged in the north by murderous gnolls and to the south by cannibalistic orcs? And remotely pretend that since they belong to a cabal of people that operate on gray areas of the law and manage a casino they are prey to whatever divine punishment (in their name, not the name of their god/gods) they feel compelled to mete out on them?
I mean, Sir Lucan turned into a Shadowknight for LESS...
So Yeah, they are roleplaying SKs disguised as Paladins I think...
