Hi all,
I am new to P99 (playing on Blue) and would like to find a guild or group of people to chat with. As a newbie I do not see many other players and barely ever see any chat going on and assume the best bet is to get into a guild. I am playing an enchanter (currently lvl 3) but mained a bard on FV for a very long time. Willing to play either chanter, bard or monk, or perhaps cleric. Please let me know if you are recruiting and or have a discord or some such we can chat on.
Regards,

Try Green, Blue is very low pop, and according to some, on its way out.
Green/Teal is where everybody is now, and a lot of guilds there will gladly take you and chat with you 8)
Also welcome to P99!

Yeah I would join green or at the very least teal. Apparently teal is more friendly but I've seen nothing but good things from the green server so far ( Bare in mind I am new my self so maybe I've gotten lucky so far?)

Hmm that is an interesting insight and question.
From my own experience so far, it has been about 80/20
The 80 is the wonderful people I have met in my travels that have been kind, fun, sharing jokes during pulls or even talking about odd things like Daggerfall Unity and the Emulation Scene for old vintage games ... In short AMAZING! Some people out of the blue have been extremely generous, seeing my gear and giving me stuff much better for free, giving advice, giving tips, telling me how to maximize my class or just being cheerful and /hugging me when I /hug them as we /dance in this vast elf sim.
The other 20 though has been people that have quite vocally been super abusive, swearing and insulting ... last night I had an argument out of nowhere with someone that perhaps due to language issues was hostile from the start or simply outright hates people that talk or express themselves not in the way they are used to.
So far my ignore list is very short, only about 5 people there, I just say that I am very sorry if anything has been misconstrued from my part and then move on and /ignore .
Life is too short to dwell on the bad, but it needs to be there in the background, to give real background to the good.
Now from this, when I tally the good and the bad my experience has been extremely positive and the negative ones are things I just gloss over after reading certain texts and letting stuff pass, because I remember people are just that : people, all with their strange ideas, customs and ways of living and when they lash out is due to their own fears and anxieties.
Like we say in my country "Nobody is a Gold Coin" , meaning that not everybody (including me) is a gold coin to make others happy all the time.
Bad apples out there? Of course! It would not be a populated server without some drama, but honestly it is quite manageable and within the norm.
So your experience has been good so far and that is very good! But when something bad happens, just let it go, do not dwell too much on it and just keep playing.
Avoid toxic people, it is not your quest to enlighten them either and on the other hand try to be with people whom you feel happy or at the very least not hostile to your way of being.
So yeah, Green is quite good, Teal I sadly do not have any experience with, but theoretically should be different but similar in a way to not make it too alien.
To finish in a positive note, I had a very kind Dark Elf Wizard (Hi Kreeta!) help me during a very badly botched corpse run in Najena. The high levels there were unable to help due to them being in the list and this very small low level dark elf decided to help me clear a path to my 4 bodies (was a rough night of losing 2 bubbles and a level) without even gaining xp and barely any loot.
We patiently cleared the way through the dungeon to my corpse, was able to retrieve the original one leaving behind the ones full of junk and in the end I felt good! That despite the xp loss and time wasted of my own I knew someone willing to help me with their time (which is valuable to them) to help me out of my own error.
So yes, there is good people in Green! ;)
Hope your experience remains the same, despite what people you might find during the road!
A big hug to you from the Lonely Isthmus!

<Castle> is on both Blue and Green, and full of good people. You’re welcome to join us. No level requirement; just don’t be a jerk and you’re in.
