G'day from Aus. Been a long long time since i played Ever Quest and decided to have a go at it again. Any tips for a magician? Keen to meet the players abroad. :D:D:D:D

Welcome to the server. It's a great time to join.

Magician is a good first character. Pretty straightforward class, send pet to fight a blue mob and hope for the best.

Later in levels you'll have to get more creative as your pet won't always win. But until like... level 30, it's pretty straightforward.

Magician is good, but atm its broken research reciepes combined with lower drop rate for magician words. This is np until you get lvl 24 because until 20 you can buy pets from npc.

No pets exist past 34 for Mages (aka, 39, 44, 49 pets). So after 39 or so, you basically won't be able to solo. It's a very gimped and broken (not in a good way) class right now.

Thats a darn shame. Any tips of classes that don't break at end game? hahaha

Would the staff summons happen to missing or broken too? My roommate started maining a mage a week ago after seeing so many bards around (his old school main) and was trying to find the first cane summon. He spent the better part of a day, at low teens, going to Gnome, Erudite, and other caster friendly cities to find the Staff of Tracing spell on vendors.
