Patching MacBook Files HELP

I downloaded Vile's one stop shop for playing p99 on Mac and the game loads successfully to character selection, where I'm greeted with the "You must update files message". I downloaded current patch (v52), but after I update the files, the game doesn't load successfully anymore. Is there a certain way to patch files on a Mac vs. Windows that I might not be aware of?

You must cut and paste the files carefully from each directory into the correct matching directory - a little painful, but that worked for me. And I mean from the V52 file into your current game directory structure.
