Unknown Error

I keep getting 'an unknown error occurred while trying to connect to the server'

I have all the most current updated patches, I reinstalled the patches, I reset my computer. I was playing just fine last night. Did not install or change anything since then. Anyone have any tips?

I'm getting the exact same thing right now. And it doesn't matter what server I choose, including those outside of p99 (like Hidden Forest).

I am getting the same error. When I connect, I get "An unknown error occurred while trying to join the server", the if I sit at the server list or keep trying the error changes to "Error - A timeout occurred".

Yes same here. I was playing and got dc'ed then have not been able to log in for about the last 20 minutes.

I suspect an issue on the eqemulator.net's login server side. Who runs it anyway? Akkadius? Rogean?

Yep, can't login. I've been watching the population of Blue and Green steadily drop the last 20 minutes.

Looks like on their side, all the servers are currently dropping player count.
So whoever's still in, don't zone, that crashed me and can't get back on.

Nor can I. same thing, unknown error on all 3 Project 1999 servers. I even tried a few others, all said unknown error.

For the last 4 months the server/s have been emitting symptoms of a failing code or device. We are utilizing 32 bit servers in a 64 bit+ world. Additionally the code is old and needs revamping but won't be. In conjunction with failing hardware that is what is likely going on. I too cannot get in. Looks like I'll have to go outside today.. /sigh
