So my necro lv 53 pet (minion of shadows) isn't duel wielding without weapons... Not sure if this is a bug, but in classic any lv34+ necro pet could duelwield without weapons...

As per the patch notes: Pets auto-dual wielding without weapons no longer happens at any level.

This apparently was a long-standing issue that was not-classic. The ability will be returned in a few months.

Get a WR bag and carry some rusties with you. Or beg your local neighborhood mage.

All lv34+ necro pets had the ability to auto duelweild, this is classic.. I have no idea where they got this information from but its dead wrong...

Here are patch notes

November 29th, 2000 3:00 AM -

"- Higher level Magician, Necromancer, and Shadowknight pets now have
the ability to dual-wield without being handed weapons. The calculation
used to determine whether or not this ability exists takes several
things into account, but for the most part 39th level and above summons
(higher for the Shadowknight) will have this ability. It is possible
that you could get a “good” 34th level pet that will, or a “bad” 39th
level pet that will not have this ability. "

The implication being that prior to November 29th, 2000 no pet innately dual wielded. After November 29th, 2000 they had this ability. (For your reference this would fall 7 months after Kunark release, meaning October on this server).

So yes, very much classic.
