Not sure whats going on but you don't see many 5x multikills thats a doosie +1 for pvp content.

<Ragnarok> trying to raid NToV. They botched their own Vulakk pull, trained themselves, and we had bind sight plus mass stables already camped in the zone. They tried to rez up real fast, so we loaded in.

Ooo good attempt Ragnarok NToV is tough. Nice job smashing them old school style its nice people still playing the best everquest server out there even though the brokenness and no pop makes it sad.

Definitely best server on the market right now. Looking forward to staff beefing it up somehow.

Ragnarok killed like a years worth of vulaks uncontested under the name Empire before the disband. Steppenrazor wasnt able to kill Vulak unt they quit.

But the Ragnarok return was full of goofies and it was funny to watch them get smashed by the unemployed.

Really good gif

don't think anything on red99 topped the terp/cyren/lawlzies plane of fear open raid bomb

perhaps this was the closest that friends got to killing a single dragon in ToV during the empire days

It is sad after 8 years of gameplay the biggest moves on red99 were simple trains that happen on normal pvp servers daily. Play nice policy made this server shit.

are you implying that i trained there, or do you mean the "elite" pvp guild panicking and training themselves when a single person attacked their 30 man raid?

i don’t think people remember the ragnarok mass pvp fights like I do apparently....

I remember we shit on apex repeatedly, but lost interest in PvE immediately

i remember a bunch of scared bluebies coming together under one roof to form an unstoppable zero skill death ball

try playing even numbers before you gather your lunar funguses ofcourse

everquest is hard when you don't zerg, try it out

I don't ever remember the people who complained about numbers sitting people out when they've had more. I'm talking the usuals and across more than just this box.

Sorry if you only want a small elite crew, but the big guilds who take in average players and help them are going to beat you in the big brawls. If you care about small man victories, you will get them.

Raid targets - RECRUIT and contest
Small man kill/death farmers - go as small as u can by all means to keep that guild kda

The only times we ever had 30 people is when the fair weather's came out after we got a pixel or something. Def not elite.

All I remember from the ragnarok days was seeing apex getting shit on for weeks. Hearing how Tune pussied it so hard and was hiding from most pvp engagements and it took the steppingrazors and reebz's to muster a fight - which they did near the end and won a fight or two when ragnarok was waning in desire to login anymore.

Tale of the tape reads like....50 wins to 2 but the apexers like to focus on their "wins" on an aged and self defeated opponent.

I don't think ragnrok and crew ever once had to raid at 4am just to keep dkp going like apex was.

Guess you gotta take what you can.

Ragnarok won the first few large PVP encounters, because they had more players who came of age on red when pvp was actually a thing. We had a lot of blue xplants and shitters, so straight up fighting was hard to win.

We altered our strat from straight up old school military fighting in columns to Viet Kong style guerilla shit. Binding 6 wizards gfluxed up on pillars in tov above where Ragnarok CH chains would be, etc. Port in 6 wizs, tl box, get 5 YTs in a row on clerics, click box out. rinse and repeat.

Wiping guilds engaged on raid targets is by far my favorite thing to do in everquest. Glad Ragnarok was even around otherwise I would have not got to experience it all. Only time r99 has ever seen so much ToV pvp.

Good Fight, see you on red2.0

Basically 1 out of 1000 nerdy gamers are able to play EQ without barfing if they didn't play in 1999-2003
