Any of you plan on watching the new series on HBO? I started reading the books a couple months ago, they are pretty amazing.

pretty good first episode, Dinkledge seemed perfect for Tyrion. Can't wait to see the rest of the season, everyone should watch this show

I am retarded and can't get the sound to work on the version I downloaded :(

I will give it a few more episodes. I know there are only 10 episodes per book but it was just so condensed, and a few of the Stark children are played by actors that are way too old. Oh well, it has boobs.

Yeah, I finally got it to work...I don't understand any of this codec nonsense.
Thanks though!

I hate people who read books that are adapted and get pissed off about the adaptation. Sorry they couldn't add in every minute detail to a movie/series effectively making it 9000 hours long.

Also books are for fags.

And Boromir (sean bean) is in this show, that is better than anything you could come up with imagination wise in that shit-filled brain of yours

to answer the inevitable question "u mad bro?" - yes

it was boring

The inner monologue of the PoV characters is what makes ASOIAF great. You can't fit that into a television adaptation, sorry. Enjoy your McGameofThrones.

Roy Dotrice is brilliant and brought so much character to the voice work that he deserves an award of some sort.

Hahaha, my friend and I watched it and said the same thing about the characters. Daenerys is supposed to be what? 13ish?

But at the same time, you give some to get some. HBO draws in more users by showing boobs and the girl playing Daenerys is sexy.

I'm excited to see how it plays out. I hope they don't try to cram everything into each show. This week's episode felt very condensed and, while it was good, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I thought I might.

Edit: Devil seems to be the only one that is truly mad in this thread. Therefore, I counter your "u mad bro" with a "u mad brah?"

Trolling infers that I am intentionally trying to get a rise out of people by saying ignorant or stupid things.

I'm not trollin bro I'm just sayin how I feel. Troof.

I recorded it, but have yet to watch it. It's been years since I read the books so I'll miss most of the glaring omissions.

So, how are they going to handle the rampant pedophillia in this series?

The same way I handled it in the book series; cross my legs and pretend things aren't happening down there.

Seriously though, characters in the show are much older so it isn't weird.

Arya's ugly, and I bet she's covered in hideous boils irl. I want to see Dany's brother get his nipple twisting action on, tbh.

Being someone who has never read the books i enjoyed the first episode.

I will probably watch the first season then read the books so i can enjoy the episodes.

Did this with LOTR and enjoyed the movies more that way.
