Weapons/Quests for new SK? (Green)

So basically I intend to take the very rough path of leveling either an ogre or troll Shadow Knight on green. My question is this:

Are there any quests available to either race that I should keep an eye on? Particularly one that rewards a decent weapon? I've spotted a few on the wiki but I'm not 100% sure which ones will be in that era. Thanks much in advance!

Not really. The gatorsmash is pretty rare to acquire and not terribly good for an SK anyway. There is the grobb cleaver which gives you a weapon comparable to something like the shiny brass halberd. But you will have to go out into OOT and back. You don't get invis/FD until level 30. You are best off just trying to purchase or obtain for yourself a blackened iron bastard sword. They were pretty common and cheap back in the day.

WAR only, though. Doesn't help the SKs at all.
They probably want the Dark Reaver or Mithril 2H from Lguk as endgame 2h weapons.

No quests I can think of, but if you want a decent newbie weapon, I'd probably just run to NRO at 12 or so and try to camp a dragon dirk.

I think a lot of the early magic weapons you'll want and are accessible are drops, like BABS/BIBS or BBC. sadly, they're probably going to be pricey at launch. Luckily, the price on the claymore should drop fast since Befallen will probably be pretty popular.

The ogre newbie warrior quest for Nobles gives a decent starting weapon but it lowers your SK faction so I would only do it to get said weapon.

This is SUPER easy to do. Not great but will hold you over until you can get a shiny brass halbard/BBC/BIBS, etc. Might need someone to help you whos the level for the quest and has the faction tho. Reaper of the Dead quest :

You are half-right. Great sword but the earlier version is available prior to the zone revamp. Still, solid ratio for the time.
