Patch V50b broke tab targeting

Thats pretty much it, patch v50b and v50b-1 broke tab targeting. "Cycle through nearest NPCs" no longer does anything. Also getting a new error "Your XML files are not compatible with current EverQuest files" but this doesn't seem to affect anything.

Not broken, it was removed since it was not classic. I'll see if Rogean can update his v50 post to reflect it

Are we certain it wasn't classic? I remember cycling through NPC's a lot back on live.

I think most people just didn't know back then you could use the TAB key to cycle through mobs, just like we didn't know a million other things.
